Re: The OH Conference in Houston - Grads session

I am just curious as to how many people will be going to the Grads Session on Friday afternoon.  3-5 PM, before the Meet and Greet.

It looks like they are really trying to hear what we are saying.  If we can get a lot of people to show for this, it shows that we appreciate the attempts they are making.

It would be interesting to see what they can offer us......there is no why I can make it at that time IF I get to go at all.

I'd like to see them offer us something on Saturday instead.  From 3-5 PM on Friday will require people to take the day off of work if they are locally and didn't want to burn a vacation or personal day.

I agree with Dana.  Something like this on Saturday would be much better.  Taking a day off work may not be a possibility for many of us.

yeah I have to agree with Dana. I was excited to see the 'grad session', but not on Friday from 3 to 5pm.  I don't know if I will get 1/2 day off much less a whole day, so that puts me out of it.  It's certainly not for lack of interest.

It would be nice to have this offered during one of the PS pic sessions that we have seen, or another session more geared for newbies.

Kudos to them for trying, but the timing just won't work for me.

Could they have a questionnaire or survey that could be completed NOW, like the emails we sent, and that way they could have some alternatives BEFORE the conference?  Just an idea.

It is nice to know that OH is listening and trying to make an effort.... too bad they can't make it a break out session on Sat. instead.   I have a feeling the turn out won't be very high.  I live in town and probably can't get there during that time!!!!  I would have to take 1/2 a day off from work in order to make it.

We're happy to see that you're discussing this subject!  Besides the Friday component for Grads, there will also be breakouts on Saturday addressing these same topics that you're interested in, such as labs and vitamins, weight regain and others, especially with relation to those who are farther out on their journey.  In reality, we can't please everyone all of the time, but a sincere effort is going to be made to listen to your voices and offer the best we can! Overall, we hope this is a positive experience for those who come.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Keep them coming!

Regards,
Kim

thanks Kim.  That is really good to know and I look forward to hearing what they will be.  Still think Gina (nursediva) needs to be a speaker..
