I PMed Kim from OH yesterday and told her of our desire as "oldies.(4+ yrs post op ) have with weight gain, more food at meals. and other issues and here is her reply to me about this:.

Funny you should ask.....all day I've been talking to one of your TMB regulars regarding this subject, and I made the decision to add a "Grad Friday" component to the event, from 3-5 pm.  This will include a 3-5 member panel of related professionals to answer those nagging questions that you all might have, especially those with weight regain and those who are 4+ years out on the journey.

I just thought that I would share this with you !!!  So See OH does listen to us as members and do want to give us what we want at the Conferences too.   They are NOT just for "newbies"   !!!!   Have a blessed day !!!

Great job Vivian.  How did you guys decide that oldies are 4+ years out instead of say 2+ or 3+ years out? Regardless, I guess if a person wants to attend the event they can.  Thanks again.

LOL Sorry bout that Faith.   I am 4+ yrs post op.    I guess it got caught up in when I had surgery.   LOL  Oldies can really be anyone out of the "honeymoon" stage as far as that goes.     Thanks for calling me out on my  mistake.   But it is usually about the 3 to 4 yr mark in your journey when you start experiencing these things or that is when it happened to me anyway.   Have a great day !!!

LOL...no problem.  I know some begin to struggle somewhat at about 18-24 months out. I am so excited that you OH sees the need after you got their attention.  Thanks again.

FAITH-simce I'm the "TMB member" Kim was referring to, I guess I can answer this. We didn't put any time limit on what a "grad/oldie" is. Everyone progresses so differently, both physically and mentally. Kim said, basically, the "session" just would be not be geared for "newbies"-it would be a place to for the rest of US to talk to a panel of professionls, perhaps-it's all brand new at this point, of course, but I applaud Kim for listening and trying to help-she'll ket us know more details later
