Hello Everyone!
Welcome!!!
This is actually my 1st time on the state board as I'm usually on Lap-band, Revision or the lightweights board. Guarantee you will get all sorts of feedback to your pre-op question on the Lap-Band board and yes there are other guys on the band board!
Get ready for the journey of a lifetime!!!

Welcome to TMB, Jim! We love our Menz here! You aren't alone, George will be along shortly to keep you company.
One of the best things I was told when I was preparing for surgery was to study and research what life was going to be like AFTER surgery. I was about 3 months out before the routine set in and I wasn't consumed with details all day long. I finally had time to consider "what next"....how is this going to work the rest of my life. Luckily I had read alot of posts here, as well as a couple of books, on just what life is like on a daily basis. I was prepared for those days when nothing sounded good to eat or my pouch didn't want anything, yet I still had to get the nutrition in. For months we are in our own little world here at home, getting used to a daily schedule, a daily menu or used to having things to choose from. Then suddenly we start traveling or spending the whole day away from home and upsetting out schedules applecart! How do you plan to remember to take you vitamins on schedule? Do you know what and when you can eat on the road? I set alarms on my cell phone and never leave home without packing a small cooler with protein snacks and food.
Ask anything that comes to mind! We've all been there and are here to help.
