Be careful this weekend as I've been watching the heck out of weather reports the past two days and it shows nasty stuff coming your way. My parents decided to head back this morning despite my pleading for them to stay one more day in order for the road crews to get the crap cleared off through Arkansas where they were going to be doing the bulk of their driving today but they insisted it would be ok and left at 4:30 this morning. I got a call from mom about an hour ago asking me to look at road conditions because they were just south of Little Rock and in bumper to bumper traffic going no more than 30 mph. I swear, I just wanted to say, "I TOLD YOU SO"! UGH! The roads are so icy and I think since most stayed off the roads yesterday, you not only have all those people out there, but of course everyone else who needed to be going somewhere today out there. I pulled up the road conditions through southern Missouri and all it shows is RED which according to the little key at the bottom, that meant ice. GREAT! So, I hope and pray they do ok as they CREEP back to Illinois. They were hoping to get to Sikeston, Missouri today but I just don't know. Dad will make the decision if he's had enough as my mom won't drive anymore.
I got up with them early this morning and then back to bed. I got back up with a nasty a$$ headache which didn't make me too happy. Hoping that melts away here soon!!!
Trying to stay warm, too! Thankfully I still have to wear my compression garment so it's like having thermals on which is so nice on a chilly day like today!!!
