Dr Dirk Rodriguez's Patients

Hey Family!!

My sister (my best friend) has an appointment with the above referenced dr.  Can you tell me your experiences with him? I believe she is opting for the lap band. I told her to create a profile here so she can see how things roll around here!! LOL

You know, there are a lot of people out there who used Dr. Dirk and then he left "for greener pastures."  I know of one person who loved him so much she flew to him for follow-up.  I remember the scramble for his patients to find another surgeon to do follow up.

Now he is back.  "The grass is not always greener."

IMHO from the sidelines, how long will he stay?  Is he still looking to get to the greener pastures?  I sure would want that question answered before I committed to have surgery with him...Sorry not really what you were looking for, but that question has been on my mind since I saw his TV add...

Thank you for the info Que.  I sent it to her.  I had mentioned another Dr to her.  You know it's always good to do our research.  Best to avoid jumping into the mouth of the wolf, know what I mean!

I have a great friend who used him in Palestine when he was still doing surgery there.  Another surgeon helped him.  She didn't really like him, but her surgery went fine.  I think he has good surgical skills but have gathered that he thinks highly of himself.  I would be worried he would haul of elsewhere again.

I love love my doc....just sayin'.  He is in Richardson and works out of a couple locations.  Love him and the fill center too.

Muah!!!! LOL  Actually her sister and nephew are Dr Benavides' patients.  I am not certain as to why she didn't go there, perhaps the location (she's in FTW).

How are you and the family doing?

If she is in FTW, Why not check out Dr. Green?  He has free seminars and she could get another option.  Maybe RNS?  Then she could talk to a lot of us in the FTW area.

Oh I am on it Mama Que!!!  I told her about RNS!  I'd hate to see her go to the wrong doctor you know.   Rapport is everything!!!!

Funny thing about Dr. B is the main hospital he does his surgery out of(that insurance co's pay for) is Wise Regional in Decatur!   For follow-ups she'd have to drive but for the initial surgery it'd be close for her.  The follow-ups and fills are not even a monthly thing after the first couple...you know this.

Like I said...I love him.  Hope whoever she goes with is a super doc!
