Am I setting myself up for failure?
We just found out today that my DH has been extended 6 months on his job with the Gvmnt...
We have BCBS fed. its an awesome plan, it also ends in 6 months.....
Is it possible to lose my extra wt in the next 6 months....i started at 250, im at 215 now...if i can lose 60 lbs by 6 months, I should be able to have my hernias meshed in and my "apron" removed....
Is this doable or am i doomed for failure....?? I would hafta have the surgery like two or three days from "D-day"....its alot of pressure, specially since im in a stall....
If you think this is possible, please share any ideas as to how i can pull this off....
A little prayer wouldnt hurt either....

PLEASE don't stress yourself out !!!! I have been so stressed out and I again and when that happens I could eat 100 calories a day and gain weight. Yes it is doable !!! Just want your calories and stay away from bad carbs and get in all your protein and exercise your butt off. I will keep you in my prayers !!!

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

You can do it. Add in some exercise when you are cleared. That will kick start you. Remain vigilant in what you eat; keep track of it. You body might respond in different ways to different foods. I notice I lose most with more protein lower carbs. You might plateau but then have a big loss a few weeks later. Keep up the good work.

I just walked almost 3 miles, at one point it was uphill over an interstate overpass, that was so cool, i could see the cars below me, they looked like they were coming right at me....totally awesome....
here is my plan of sorts....conscientiously monitor my water....live by a timer if i hafta...
up my protein intake, by adding in 2 protein drinks everyday....i hate them
journal every morsel i eat.....thing is, i dont know how many calories is enough or too much...thats been a mystery from the beginning...
some say calories dont matter, cause we dont absorb calories like non-RNY ppl....im confused..
So more water, more protein and more writing...
Any other tips????????????/

Tara, don't put so much pressure on yourself. I can understand the necessity of having your federal insurance to pay for surgery. It'll happen I'm sure; saying this though don't over-analyze or stress yourself getting there.
The stalls are part of the WLS equation for most. Keep focused on protein, water, vits and *sigh* exercise....shake things up some, your body is a smart critter than gets comfortable easily you have to trick it to work for you.

Tara are you required to lose all your excess weight before they will fix the hernias and do a panniculectomy? If not, have it done even if you're not a goal. Some skin removal is better than none at all. And YES, 60 lbs in 6 months is definately doable. That's only 10 lbs a month. Stay the course my dear and if you ever get up this way, yell at me and I'll give you a sample of my protein-it's awesome. I've NEVER had a single person taste it that didn't like it.
