I MADE IT!!!!

I wanted to update you all. I made it through surgery fine and was home the next day.  It seemed like things just moved so fast last week. My surgery was originally scheduled on 1/21/10, but they moved it to 1/20/10. So I had the IVC filter put in on Monday, and surgery on Wednesday.

I am adjusting to this new me, I'm not gonna say it has been easy.  The worst part has been the gas....OMG.  I had a bad case of it on Sat., I walked, and walked, and walked til I was exhausted and it still did not move. My mom went to the drug store and talked to the pharmacist and he told her to get me some Mylicon drops...(yes the ones for babies) and you know what....it was a miracle worker.  Now I feel so much better in the gas dept....lol

I am sipping and walking my way to health.  I just wanted to update you all and to thank you for all the prayers and well wishes.  I will update as soon as possible.  Take care and always "Be Blessed"

So happy that you are doing so well Dymone.   Gas is a killer and it doesn't really seem to go away  for that long even after you recover from surgery or not in my case anyway.   I live on Gas X.   LOL  Anyway congratulations on your surgery and we look forward to hearing more from you.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Good for you. Remember.. sip sip sip. walk walk walk. That is the beginning. Then make sure you have support support support. It will be more and more important the further out you get. That will be a huge part of how successful you are. You can not do this alone. If we could, we would not have needed the surgery to begin with. hugs to you. Keep us posted... We do care..

Smile, it increases your face value.

Glad to hear things are going well.  I know what you mean aobut the gas.  I am 2 1/2 years out and sill have problems with it.  I keep gas meds on my night stand because I will wake up in the middle of the night feeling like I am having a heart attach and have to take something to make me burp.  It was scarey at first but know I am use to it.  Sometimes it just comes on without notice.  I dont' know what I have done.  So just keep the gas meds in your purse at all time so that your not caught out without it.

Keep up the good work.
