Terrific Tuesday WLS Express

Good morning train riders.  I'm getting ready to head to Winstar in a little bit.  Just feel like doing a little gambling.  I was hoping that Jodie could join me but she's got a doctor's appt today.  I actually don't mind going by myself cuz once I'm there I wander off anyway.  Just makes for a long car ride.  Hopefully if my money holds and my timing is good I'll meet up with Lynnette and the other girls for a little girl time tonight.  I already told Clay he's "on his own" for dinner tonight.

Watched a new show on BBC America last night called the "Inbetweeners".  It's hysterical.  If you like the American Pie movies you'll love it.  Very raunchy and definately NOT for kids but very funny.  Last night was the series premeire.

 

Steph, thanks so much for the offer of a room! It is much appreciated! I think we are going to drive up and back on Thursday though.

Good Morning Riders! Hope everyone is off to a good start this morning.  Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts for Jason and Francis' familes. Not much new othere than they are almost certain it was an aneurysm. She yelled out for him to get the baby, called her Mom said she had the worst headache ever and she could not see out of one eye. Her mom said hang up and call 911, which they did and she didn't make it til they got there. Visitation is Wednesday and the funeral is Thursday at 2:30 in Mesquite. I am going to go and take my brother.

Not much else going on, I kinda wish there was! Got some good play time in with my grandson William (aka MoMo) yesterday. He had MiMi conned into getting him bowls of Hamburger Dill pickles. He and my granddaughter call pickles "****les"??? and they know that MiMi and PawPaw always have them and they know where we keep them!! LOL Funny, now Bill and i call them ****les too!!

Prayers going up for those in need and positive thoughts all around!

Busy morning trying to get things done AND play on the computer.  The house unfortunately will NOT clean itself no matter how many times I've asked it to do so.  LOL  So, as usual, I must do it. :)

Good Morning OH Family!

Had a really nice day yesterday just catching up on laundry etc. Laylabug came and played for about an hour while Summer went and ran some errands. Rick started 2nd shift last night and I think he is going to like he got to sleep late this morning. I'm going to go pick up Alliecat this afternoon around 4ish and take her to McDonalds and meet up with some of our peeps come join us I imagine after we get there and start talking we will be there a couple of hours lol depends on how Allie behaves. I'm getting excited about the new grandbaby coming in May they are starting to decorate the nursery they are doing it in brown bears cause Allie calls the baby "baby brother bear" If anyone has baby boy things they don't want let me know because Mandy sold all of Allies last year (don't know what she was thinking!) Well better go finish up a little cleaning. Good luck Steph!

Lynnette - I highly recommend Just Between Friends - they have good, well priced baby everything - they hold the salestwice per year - the Fort Worth one is the largest and it is in March - but they have sales all over the metroplex - just go to the web site and you can find the sales!!!!!

Ok Lynnette, am I missing something?  Did Rick change jobs?  I am so happy for you that you are going to have a little boy.

Hi Riders!

Well today has to be and will be a better day.  Yesterday was a day full of sadness.  I went to a good friends husbands funeral.  There were almost 1000 people there.  Yes you see that right 1000.  He was a loved and respected business and church man in Dallas.  His wife(my friend is our corporate attorney).  If any of you heard on the news about a man jumping from a parking garage in Dallas it was him.  No reason to man why.

Then last night my family finally said goodbye to our Callie.  She was with us for 12 of the 16 years of her life.  I brought her home from the vet on Sunday with morphine so that everybody could say goodbye and because my vet was on duty last night.  I had to be the strong one and I carried her in and stayed by her side until the end.  Callie will be missed.

I hope and pray that all are getting well and finding the jobs that we know we all need.  Glad Meggie is home.  Jodie hope you aren't getting sick right before your new job starts.

I finally got the final yes on the job with a 2/1 start day  -  Monday!  YEA!!  Most likely I'll be travelling to Chicago on Sunday for a 3 day orientation and then head to San Francisco Wednesday afternoon to the actual client site where I'll be working.  Hoping to head back home Thursday evening, but not sure if it will be Thursday or Friday just yet.  Still a few logistical details to work out.

I've got an eye dr. appt this afternoon and other than that it's a scramble to get things done to get ready to get back on the road.  I need to buy a few "business casual" clothes, get my nails done - you know - all the important stuff!
