OK, I am very upset that OH now has a button where you can export posts to facebook. I like to keep my facebook life separate from my OH life and definitely don't want someone to easily be able to export MY OH posts to fb. My profile is now private and I removed my avi. You may want to do the same.

WTH is OH thinking?????

OH has always been public and easy to search. I never post things on here that I would be upset if they were known. Yes I do discuss things that I leave off of my facebook or don't discuss with my girlfriends but i KNOW that anyone who wants to can google my name and come up with a lot of OH posts

ETA - after all the warnings about security, I don't post sensitives stuff ANYWHERE on the web - regardless of privacy settings - funny embarrassing things yes but nothing that could ever be held agianst me in a court of law or used to mess with my husbands carreer :)

I agree I don't like it. I'm not private about my WLS but would prefer keeping some things here vs it being exported someone else.

I can't say I am happy about it, either. My WLS is no secret to anybody who knows me in the meat world, but I don't discuss it on facebook because it is such a wide audience. If I want to discuss WLS I come HERE where I have friends who understand what I am going through.

So - how does that button work? I notice it is at the top of the thread. Does it export the entire thread to FB, twitter, etc?

At the very least, OH should give us a feature to block exporting any of our posts, similar to ignoring someone where they don't show up. I realize anyone can copy & paste anything posted, but having a button to do it so easily encourages it.

Yes, it copies the entire thread. I posted the cruise info and all the responses went with it. It didn't make me happy as I only wanted what I wrote to be forwarded. I won't be using it again for the privacy of everyone involved.

The TMB is a place I come and feel safe that no one else in my family comes here. I can say what I want to here and not have to worry. Thanks OH for ruining that!

Stephanie, I made that same comment to someone else. I have never hid that I had WLS but I do post things here I don't want every Tom, Dick and Harry to know about my post-op life. It's no ones damn business UNLESS I want them to know.

I removed my picture and made my profile private where only my OH friends can see them.

OH isn't looking at the benefits it offers "us", it's all about the almighty dollar which I can appreciate we use this site for free and someone pays but a "fair warning" would have been nice.

Ugh, this is discouraging news. I will talk about WLS till Im blue in the face, but I'd rather do it in person w/ my fb friends...
