Thursday WLS Express- Hug someone today!

Good morning Train Riders!!  Hugs all around!  I'm energized today.  Started out with a brisk fast walk with the dogs.  I'm seriously considering doing the SonRise 5K again this year, but need to see if I'm really willing to commit to get back in good shape.  Would anyone be interested in doing it with me again?  Finishing the race was great, but doing it with people I love was even better.

Not sure what's on my plate today.  I've got a ton of stuff to do for work, didn't get as much done yesterday as I had major fires to put out all day.  I've got a deadline for a project (self-imposed) at the beginning of Feb and I may have to put in some extra time to get it done.  Jeff has class tonight, so I'll be on my own.  I'm going to put off my trip to Sam's until the weekend, so I may go down to the gym and see how long it takes me to walk a fast mile or two.

Prayers going up for all of our family here.

We are crazy busy at work this morning deflecting negative news reports that were completly wrong and off base.  Evidently the reporter failed to check facts before airing on TV this week so now I've got a jillion complaint emails to answer. Not fun at all because it is a no win situation...can't point the finger or shift blame even if they were wrong becuase it stil makes us look bad, and defensive.  Delicate to say the least.  Anyway, that's my world for the next few days...including the mandatory 8 ours of overtime for Saturday that we were told of this morning.  Isn't that nce?!  Argh!!  I HATE the media. :(

School is good and had fun with debate in my "argument" class last night.  It is nice to argue with educated adults rather then emotional teens.  :)

ok, better get off OH and read me some emails or its gonna be a looooong day.

HUGS

Good Morning TMB!!!  Hugs all around!! Wooo hooo!!!!  :)

Nothing much going on here.  I'm just avoiding housework by playing on the computer.  Isn't it amazing how quickly time flies by when you are doing absolutely nothing but playing games, reading and posting, etc?  I  need to run to the kitchen and throw something into the crockpot for dinner tonight so I don't have to worry about cooking later.  Just don't know what yet...gotta look over my menus.

Have a great day everyone.  Love, hugs and prayers all around.
MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!

Happy Hugs Day Everybody.

Well today is another day.  It is going to be a good one because I am going to make it one.  We work with what we are given.  Worked late this week not getting home until 8:30 and 9.  Makes for long days.  But at least I have a job.  Found out yesterday I will be getting a new boss on Monday.  My other boss is being moved from her persistion.  My new boss will be based in Austin.  She works from home.  Will see if this is a good thing or bad but something tells me it will be a good thing.

Wiz glad you had a good first day at the new job.  Prayers for everybody that is sick and or needs a job or just needs a hug.  Know that you are loved.

ME?? I am doing OK today!  It kinda hit me a bit this morning, and I've been having a little pity party but can't let it last long, got things to do!

My BFF from HS called me this morning (at 7am YIKES) and told me that there was a plane ticket waiting for me at the American counter here in HSV to come to Htown for the weekend. I have the morning to get it together and get to the airport. I was not prepared at all!
Esp since Miss Ally likes to eat all the time...going to the vet next week to see if she has a tapeworm. Found someone to take me to the airport and pick me up so I don't have to pay for parking...every penny helps. Except I don't know when I am coming back...huh???Confused   Lots of prayers going out for our post-ops for wonderful healing, a few extra ones for Jenny and Eric and my buddy Meggie, also those of you who are sick with the crud.   I can't forget to send up prayers for those of us seeking employment!

Hey, y'all.  It's a gorgeous day in Mansfield.  I'm feeling pretty "up" at the moment (though my muscles are aching something awful).

As some of you may recall, I belong to Operation eBook Drop, where authors give their ebooks free to deployed military.  Well, yesterday OEBD was adopted by its first aircraft carrier, the USS Bonhomme Richard.  Can't wait to get our stories to the crew!!

My two brothers are coming over this weekend to help DH with the bathroom deconstruct.  They're gonna try and wrestle that old cast iron tub out of the bathroom.  DH thinks they'll need to bust it into pieces first.  I think I'm spending the weekend at the other end of the house!

Someone above me mentioned putting a meal in the crock pot today.  I need to plan a few of those dinners for this weekend, so nobody has to worry about cooking in the midst of chaos.

Thanks for being here!

International Hug Someone Day, huh?  I hugged King this morning.  Any additional hugs may turn into "Choke the **** out of Someone Day" after spending three hours with him at the dr.'s office this morning.  I know most of you probably don't accompany your grown husbands to dr. appts., but mine somehow has the ability to leave out important details - like chest pains that don't go away for hours, swelling of hands and feet - so I "invite" myself to go along so the doc knows all of what's going on with him.  Since the heart scare back in May, I get a little edgy when it comes to that stuff.

I'm so enjoying the sunshine today.  Good news on the job front is that my paperwork is in the final stages of approval and could even be overnighted to me today, but they say definitely I should have it by Monday.  Corporate America - gotta love it - overnighting paperwork that I could drive 9 miles downtown to pick up.

We've got the flooring guys coming a week from today to lay new vinyl and carpet.  As much as I like my laminate, we are going to go back to carpet in our living room.  The cost of the laminate vs carpet drove that decision.  Then maybe I can get this pigpen put back in some kind of order.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon!  All my positive thoughts and vibes are headed out to anyone that needs them!

Jodie.....I can relate to going to the doc with your grown hubby.   LOL   I have to do that too most of the time especially when he is having problems.   He seems to not tell the doctor everything going on with him at times.    I can say he gets pretty mad at me when I tell the doctor "everything".   LOL  Oh well...he will get over it.   Hope King is OK.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Thanks, Viv.

"OK" is a relative term when it comes to King!   He'll be fine, I hope.  We've got a few more appointments to get scheduled to see exactly what is going on with him this time, but one of the specialists is on vacation next week, so it will drag out a few weeks.
