Good Morning Alissa and the rest of my TMB Family,

In case I have not told you lately, you guys are the best support anyone could ask for even when I am thousands of miles away!  Thank you.  My Gastro doctor was basically a waste of time and I did not like him very much.  He never examined me, just took me into his fancy office and talked to me.  Told me my Ulcer is something I will always have, no need to scope again, no at all familiar with Gastric patience, and I should talk to a surgeon about the Adhesions that are probably causing all my pain.  I made an appt with my PC next week but not really sure I want to go through more surgery so will have to think about it.  Not much on the agenda for today.  Need to get some things done around here to get ready for Tim and Jon.  I think they are coming tomorrow, if not then Saturday.  Just will be glad to have them here.  Looking forward to that little voice saying "hey Grandma", there is nothing like it.   You can be sure I will hug at least two people today, Mark and Eric.  Ok speaking of Eric, time to go and pack his lunch and get him motivated.  Prayers this morning for all those in need, especially, Jenny and Eric, Meggi, Liz and all the others that are unspoken.  Love you guys.

Good Morning Train!

WOOOOHOOO for Thursday!  I'm back in the office today, rushing on my endorphin high.... hoping like heck that they don't have any new curve balls to throw at me... a nice easy day would fit the bill today,  I'll get back to the hectic grind next week... LOL

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

So yesterday got me on a flashback to the past one-hit-wonders search... so guess what?  LOL That's right here's another... this is Carl Douglas with Kung Fu Fighting!

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

They were funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up and they were chopping them down
It's an ancient Chineese art and everybody knew their part
From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

There was funky Billy Chin and little Sammy Chung
He said here comes the big boss, lets get it on
We took a bow and made a stand, started swinging with the hand
The sudden motion made me skip now we're into a brand knew trip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing

make sure you have expert timing
Kung-fu fighting, had to be fast as lightning
make sure you have expert timing
Kung-fu fighting, had to be fast as lightning

Ya'll have a great day my friends!

GOOD MORNING! Here's a hug from me to you all! Bryan got a calendar that has holidays for each day of the year so I'll be pulling from those from time to time. I think its neat. So, go out and hug. I'm not a hugger by nature- just not comfortable with hugging people-except Chris and Bryan of course- but today we'll see.

I'm so so so excited about the cruise in Sept! It will be fun to go on vacation with a bunch of folks I know-that's a first for me. And the cruise is a first too. I might start singing The Love Boat's theme song just randomly between now and then. And I think we need a party to watch a few episodes before we go-just to get us in the mood! We should consider wearing T-shirts the day we board or something like that, if someone can come up with a catchy theme like Steph was talking about. How about We're cruising for a losing? lol. Just kidding!

Prayers continuing for Eric and Meggie. Jenny- how did Tuesday's treatment go? I'm going to start calling ya'll the Crazy Cancer Crusher Couple- 4 C's.

Off to meetings today. Hope the rain is gone. I hope everyone has a great day today.

Hey girl! Tuesday went fine, but Eric's white blood cell count was 100 (needs to be at least 1500) so he got another infection that evening. Happened the last time too so I wasn't too shocked about it. This time his count was lower though so it is a little scary. He can't eat raw fruits and veggies or be around flowers. Weird stuff. At least I had an antibiotic ready for him (cause I knew he would need it) and I wasn't about to make another midnight run. Driving while you're crying hysterically isn't recommended.

Round four starts Monday if his WBC gets higher. After how rough round 3 was - I'm really optomistic it's going to be better or about the same. Amazingly I think a lot of his nausea comes from being horribly constipated (turns out 4 out of 5 meds he takes through infusion are horribly constipating) so we're going to be on top of that this time. Get the toxins out ASAP and make my baby feel better!

On a side note, I got to be a mom last night!!! YAY! Rhiannon has been with my mom and dad for over a week, then got a cold so she couldn't even be near daddy (cause we knew his WBC would drop 15-21 days after chemo started), but came home last night and will be here all day today because I have nothing else to do except be a mom!! WHOO HOO! I'll tell you - the absolute worst part of this whole thing was last Monday. Driving away from my daughter who had been coughing up her lungs and seeing her wave goodbye in the rearview mirror. She's such a champ. I know she didn't feel well but she didn't complain once about me having to leave so I didn't get sick (and make Eric sick). Just broke my heart. Who doesn't want their mom when they don't feel good? Peeling my fingernails off with pliers would have been less painful.

And I love the 4 C's - although I think Capable Cancer Crushing Couple sounds better. Everyone knows we're crazy. No need mentioning it.

Good morning.  I have ARD meetings and then my homebound student to teach after work unless she's still too sick or still has her virus.  Ross will be home tonight because he's leaving to go to Rosenberg in the morning for a short job.  After the week, on to elsewhere, just not sure where because they have several jobs going on.

Prayers for all who need them.

If you want to be accountable, join us on Jumpstart January.

morning,

I did hug Maddie today but when I suggested it to Emm, so gave me that 15 year old, OMG, don't EVEN think about it look!

doctor visit was bizarre but ended well so I am okay with that. Work is busy as always and still no word on my chance to step out of the box.  So I wait. I hate waiting.  It is a job and for that I am very thankful.

Tonight consists of getting the house back in order. Yep, I have been slipping for a couple of days.  So I need to work on the kitchen and clutter.  Then we pack to head out to Shinertown after work tomorrow.  We haven't been down since the holiday.

Time to get going. Prayers for Meggie and Eric and all those others hurting.   Special prayers for my Mari who now is faced with another life change and moving back HOME and finding work.
