Hey Ya'll

Well here we go again...I saw the Gastro doctor this morning..what a total waste of time.  Well guess I cant say that totally cause he did recommend I see a surgeon about adheasions because he is sure that is what is causing the pain in my abdomen.  He says that it has nothing to do with the ulcer, and that with the ulcer I have, I will more then likely always have it.  He was not at all interested in doing a scope and seeing how it ws doing.  Anyway...have any of you had adheasion surgery?  What was it like?  Did they return?  I will do some research on the net but would love some info from you all.  Love you guys.  Thanks.

I have, but not related to my WLS.  I had a hysterectomy years ago where they removed the uterus but left the ovaries.  Over the last few years I had really bad - and increasing - pain.  Turns out that compounded with the adhesians from the hysterectomy and from cycsts on my ovary which had constantly been building and bursting, my ovary had become attached to other organs and my lower intestine.  This caused general pain, plus pain if I was constipated and...during marital relations.  Sorry, TMI....:(  Anyway, they removed the ovary and "scraped" out most of the adhesians.  They did say the adhesians were likely to grow back and that if it did they would NOT go back in becuase each time they cut, it will get worse.

I just dont know.  Guess talking with a surgeon will not hurt any.  The most they can do is say no.  I am just tired of the pain.  It hurts especially after I eat.  I dont get sick, just really uncomfortable.  I just made an appt with my PC for next week and I will see what he says!  Thanks for responding.

Michelle,

Meggie has had adhessions and many surgeries for them.  They do cause allot of pain.  I would talk to Meggie when she gets out of the hospital and feels better.  Hope you get to feeling better soon.
