OK, boys and girls, men and women, we are officially registered with Carnival for a Group cruise so now it's time for YOU to make your reservations.

Details are as follows:
Name of the Group: Texas Loser-(oops, he left off the "s" to make it plural)
Port City: Galveston
Sail Date: Sept 27th-Oct 2nd
Ship: Carnival Ecstacy
Booking number: 62P1C8

Phone number to call: 800-438-6744 EXT 80084 (RUBIN)
Rubin is there Mon-Wed 12:30-9PM and Fri-Sat 11-7:30pm  (Off on Thurs and Sun).

You can call anytime and other people can book you with the above info but Rubin is MY go-to guy for questions and answers.

When you call:
1.  Ask for the EARLY FUN SAVER rate for the cheapest rate BUT you must understand that NO changes can be made to the reservation once you book it.  A $200 per person deposit is due the day you book it and final payment is due July 29th.  They charge your credit card WHILE you're on the phone with them.

2.  The FIRST person to book each room will need the FULL name of each person in your room.  Then each person can call in seperately and book into that room under their own name.  So if you're staying with a friend, figure out WHO's gonna call first and make sure that person knows the FULL NAME of each person in the room, what KIND of room you want (inside, outside, balcony) and WHICH dining time you want-early or late. (I chose early so I'd be hungry for the midnight buffet).

3.  You can book anytime between today and Feb 19th.  After Feb 19th they will release any extra rooms that are not filled.  Also let me know of any changes as I booked 15 rooms-7 inside cabins, 7 outside cabins and one balcony (for Clay and I).  If anyone else wants a balcony, you just need to tell them when you call.

4.  I paid for TRAVEL INSURANCE when I booked mine.  That way if I had a death in the family or there was a hurricaine, etc, I would get a full refund.  Go online to www.carnival.com and read about the different pricing options and insurance that's available.

5.  I also prepaid my tips so it's included in the total price of my cruise.  They will ask you about that when you book as well.

6.  He actually let me pick my cabin number off a deck plan.  If you go to Carnival and then click on the ship name you can see the room locations.  If you have a choice, pick a room in the center of the ship-much less chance of seasickness.  I'm not sure if everyone gets to pick or not-it might just be cuz we got a balcony or cuz I'm heading it up.

I would suggest to everyone to use the BOOKMARK feature to be able to find this information easily when you are ready to book so that Stephanie doesn't have to answer the questions 30 times ... she might throw us overboard.

Thanks Steph for putting this together.  Just as soon as I get my written confirmation that I do in fact have a J-O-B, I'll be booking with Rubin!

Steph - I have to agree with Jodie, you are so absolutely GREAT for putting all this together for all of us.  Even tho I no longer have a J-O-B I am still planning on booking and going!  Sept. is a long way away and I know that I will have a job by then, if not the insurance will work out great, cuz I will have strangled myself and the fam can get the money back.  Just kidding, of course!!!  It's just very unclear as to where I'll be at that time, but it doesn't matter.  I wouldn't miss it for the world.  Will get in touch with Roomie and we'll get our money paid and the res made.  WooHoo!  I have something to be excited about today!!!

HUGS, Mari

One more thing-Let me know after you've officially booked your room so I can update the "confirmed" list.  Also let me know if you got an inside, outside (window) or balcony room so I can adjust the kind of rooms he's holding if necessary.

If anyone else wants to go, it's no problem just let me know. The more the merrier!!  (and they don't have to be members of the TMB or had WLS. They can be anyone you want to go with).

2. did you get to choose a cabin number?

Even numbered rooms are on one side of the ship and odd numbered rooms are on the other side.  I can't remember which is port and which is starboard.  You'll probably be pretty close to directly ACROSS the ship from each other.
