Hello all!

It is now time for the next step in my weight loss journey.  I have lost 266 lbs over the last 18 months and will be going in for plastics next Thursday, January 28th.  I will be at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth and the surgery will begin at 7 a.m.  My surgeon, Dr. Michael Green, will do a ventral hernia repair and then Dr. Jonathan Heistein will do the paniculectomy and abdominoplasty.  Surgery will start at 7 a.m.

I will inpatient for a couple of days so if any of you in the area want to come by and see me, I would love that!  I am very excited and very, very nervous.  I know it is going to be painful, but I cannot imagine what it will feel like without that 20+ lbs of skin weighing me down in front.  It is going to be fantastic!

Keep my in your prayers!

Love to you all,
Shawn-Marie Riley

Looking at your weigh loss numbers BLOWS MY MIND!!  What an incredible journey you've had so far.  My word woman, you lost more weight than I started at~absolutely incredible!!

Now I know my little tummy tuck for 5-6 lbs doesn't even compare but...I've got a list of tips and helpful hints on my profile that I figured out after my plastics so you might take a look.  Good luck and it won't be nearly as painful as you anticipate.  I think my RNY hurt more than my plastics.

Shawn-Marie......you will do fine and you are going to look great !!!!  Dr. Heistein is a wonderful surgeon.   I originally had my PS scheduled with him then changed my mind at the last minute to another surgeon.   Wish I had NOT done that.   I still have too much skin left after a LBL.   Good luck to you.   You are young and you will do fine.   Just do everything that he says and don't push standing straight up till he tells you.    You will be in our thoughts and prayers.    You might want to let us know your last name....there is no way they would let us see you if we go up there and say we need to see "Shawn-Marie R" !!!  LOL  Just a thought !!!!   Good luck and congrats on the upcoming surgery.   It is amazing getting rid of the hanging panus !!!!

Hi Shawn-Marie,

I also had my panniculectomey, tummy tuck, and breast reduction done by Dr. Heistein.  He is FANTABULOUS!!!  You are going to be amazed at the difference, as it will probably seem very surreal as it did to me!
I have to agree with the other poster who said that their WLS was more painful, as mine was as well.
Congratulations and blessings being sent your way for a safe and speedy recovery!!

Hugs,
