Jumpstart January B2B Tuesday
Good Morning Everyone!!
Well, I'm back after the long weekend. I really have to make more of an effort to get here on weekends. I think I need the accountability then even more than during the week. This weekend was rough with snacking....and I didn't log my intake. The "good news" is the scale wasn't too awfully mean this morning. Only up 1 pound, so I'm hoping maybe I wasn't as "bad" as I thought. LOL
Anyway, today's plan is:
Lots of water w/lemon
Breakfast: Protein shake
Lunch: Mexican (going out to eat with a friend)
Dinner: PROTEIN and a salad
Snacks: Probably apple w/peanut butter, yogurt and/or a banan
Dinner and snacks depend on what I eat at lunch. But MUST get in lots of water. That is a must today.

Thanks to OH, I had a pretty good day yesterday. I spent a lot of time online seeking support and it WORKED. I stuck to my food plan and it feels SOOOO good.
I plan to do the same thing today. I even went as far as packing my personal laptop with me so that I can log-on to OH on breaks and at lunch. Hey...what ever works, right?

Okay...I even cranked up the wii fit when I got home today for a little bit. I had already hiked around Walmart for a while. I will get up in the morning and ride my bike. I do know eating high protein/low carb is important. We can't totally cut out carbs and do need some to function. Getting in enough liquids is important as well as taking vitamins and supplements. EXERCISE is important here. I know I have never liked it enough to dedicate days to the gym. I lead a very busy life and am not giving it up to exercise constantly, but I do know 30 min. or so a day of wts, aerobic activities and or other strength/training exercises or yoga are important to our well being. If anyone is not exercising on a regular basis your not doing your body justice even if you follow all the other rules. Not one of us is perfect! Strive to do your best. Everyone is not gonna be teeny tiny and look like a model, everyone is not going to be an fitness trainer, and everyone is not going to be a totally always on track eater. Do your darndest to live your life and follow the wls rules. You can remind others what they should be doing, but we aren't here to judge what others are eating on a daily basis. If you post what you eat you are more likely to follow a healthier plan. We're all just out there livin' our lives and everyone of us has our own issues to deal with.
Hang in there and strive for the best!

Girl,
You are one smart cookie! Oh, wait, I mean protein bar! lol
I admire you so much for keeping yourself accountable and posting and eating as you should when most of the time, there is no one there to 'see' you. I know for me, when Emm isn't here, my temptation level does go way up. Because if Emm sees me eat something NOT good, she will let me know!
I have to learn that every person is going to do what they feel is best.
Thanks for always giving us something positive to think about.

Today is an 'off' day for me for some reason. It's my official weigh in day at WW....lost 2lbs. My meeting is at noon so I usually sleep late and only drink enough water to take my vits. Can't weigh with anything in your belly, don'tcha know! Even skipping breakfast I just haven't had any desire to eat anything all day. So I ate a few spoons of shrimp salad and some of the new Almond nut-thin crackers for a late lunch. I'm drinking some hot chai tea right now and will make myself eat something before I go to bed, maybe some more shrimp salad and a late tea for the protein so that's what I tracked.

For those of you fighting the scale addiction, I sympathize. I used to weight 6-7 times a day and when I 'gained' even an ounce it would blow my whole day. We have a balance scale like you stand on at the Drs office. To avoid it wasn't as easy as just moving it! Beast has taken over one of our bedrooms for his own hobby space and I don't go in there. That was the perfect place for the scale! We moved it in 2005, I think. I now weigh in once a week at WW. If I miss a meeting, I just wait another week to weigh and other than a mild curiosity I'm OK with that. I'll admit, it was hard at first but once I got over the initial seperation anxiety I was/am so much happier! No constant stress all day to 'measure up' AND I started losing weight on a regular basis when I stopped obsessing. It was easier to stay on the program so I had consistant results.
I know this is nothing new to you vets, just a testamonial to how things changed for me when I gave up the scale.
