I went all day without pain meds!
KIM-tonsillectomies are very painful for adults to recuperate from-much harder than it is for children. If there is actual PAIN (different from just DISCOMFORT), take your medication, AS ORDERED. People do not get "addicted" when there is ACTUAL pain. They run into trouble when they take medication when they are no longer hurting or for something other than it's intended purpose (like taking a pain pill to help go to sleep)
I don't mean to sound "preachy"--just want to make sure you know it's "okay" to take YOUR medication.
You'll notice I always used the word MEDICATION and not DRUGS. There's a huge difference.

We Can Do Hard Things
Thanks everyone for your help and support. I'm happy to say I didn't need the meds today either. I am going back to work tomorrow and all I do is talk at work since it's a call center, so I've packed the pain meds just in case and I'm taking the numbing tetracaine sucker with me too. I will be prepared!!!!
And George, don't worry... It's liquid and it tastes yucky. I have never liked meds or taking pills or anything, so that will never ever be a problem with me.
Love u guys!
