  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Phyllis, 8 lbs is one week, are you sure that's right?  Are you bloated from water weight?  I don't think that is possible with our pouch unless something is going on, maybe I'm wrong.  8 lbs would require 28,000 calories over what you body needs for one week.

When you don't plan, and you eat lots of fast food and fried things, it happens.  I think we have all been guilty at one time or another, but you have to set your mind to fixing it and then DO IT.  Stop talking about it and just do it.  I am not eating properly right now either and I can either sit around and whine about it, or I can do something about it.  I think I am going to choose to do something about it, because I don't want to experience the weight gain.  I am too close to being out of the honeymoon period for me to screw up now.  Set your sights on the goal, Phyllis and then head straight for it...put on blinders if you need to.

Hugs, Mari

Ok, I feel better.  Back to where I was 2 weeks ago *whew*.  I am ok with some bouncing as long as it bounces back DOWN after it bounces up.  But the *up* bounces still make me nervous because of my fear of regain.

Don't have the day off but enjoyed the light traffic coming into work today.  It is my short week as I have Friday off - YAY.

I'm like you...scared to death of the regain.  Unfortunately, I'm getting pretty use to the bouncing up and down.  But am also much happier when I bounce DOWN!!!  We'll get there...I'm so close I can taste it and I want more than a taste-test!!!

Hugs, Mari

I've had a pretty good week, too.  Not much difference on the scale, but a big difference in my attitude.  I had gotten away from checking out the board on a regular basis, and just getting back on here has made a world of difference for me.  I really enjoy seeing what everyone is doing and how I'm not the only one that struggles.  Plus I get really good ideas from you guys!

The thing that made a difference for me this week is just being more aware of what I'm eating and when, and making a commitment to exercise.  I'm not very good at posting my plan every day, but I'm writing it down in my planner.
