Good Morning my WLS Family,

I am up way to early for a Saturday but that internal clock goes off every morning at 5.  Weekends or not.  The family is all up too.  We are going to have a very quiet day.  Mark still does not feel all the great.  He went to sick call yesterday and they gave him an inhaler, and some cough syrup.  Lets hope it works.  He is planning on staying in bed but we will see if that happens.  I am going to try and get out of the house and go to a Jewlery party that one of the ladies in the neighborhood is having.  Time to start getting myself out and about.  Ok what I do to relax, is either my computer, a good movie, or a good book.  Any of those things I can do on an all day basis.  Prayers for those in need this morning, especially Jenny and Eric and Ken and Meggie.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys

Michelle - what time is your jewlery party - gonna set an alarm on MY phone and text you a reminder to get up and go!! Get out of the house woman - you know it's good for you

enjoy your quiet day - I don't think my family has a concept such a thing exists - of course if I could sit still it might help LOL

Hey Danni

The party is at one and just across the street so I dont even have to get in the car.  My house is still pretty quiet.  Mark still in bed and Eric is playing the play station.  I am really planning on going to the party.

Party!  Get up and prep for it.  Be all girl.  Pick an outfit, take a soak in the tub, do your hair, make-up and make it a big deal.  You'll feel confident and strong walking in and that will make it more comfortable meeting new friends and making friends.

I'm up too, Michelle and it really does stink.  I came home from my class at the shop last night and did something to start my lower back off into muscle spasms.  Needless to say I couldn't go flat without having my back screaming, so I have been up since about 2.  I even found a bottle of liquid Lortab, leftover from when I had surgery, took a TBS of it to see if it would help and allow me to go back to sleep...NOPE!!  So, I decided that I would look for buttons for the stuffed "chickens" from class.  I have several hundred buttons, some new and some very old, from my Mimi's button box.  I can remember playing in it when I was very little girl, so it was fun to dig through it, organize, group and separate the buttons into some small tackle box containers. What else is there to do at 3am when you can't sleep??  I found some great ones for the little stuffed chickens and can't wait to finish them off tomorrow.  Geez, my life is!  I'd love to go back to sleep, but somehow I don't see that happening.  RATZ!!!  We're supposed to be getting the rain that has plagued Texas the last few days so at least that should help me sleep tonight!  

 

I’m feeling my eyes wanting to close, so maybe I’ll try to catch a few before I go finish up the project I started last night!  I hope that y'all have a great day...I'm going to attempt to get through the rest of the weekend without worrying about my job or the possibility of it going away.

Mari - sorting though grandmother's things must be a rite of passage or something - mine was her jelwery box - I was able to tell ALL the family stories that went with each and every item :)

ok so what is with making Chickens?? did I miss something - hope you got some sleep

I went to a class last evening where we were making these little abstract chickens out of quilted squares...sooo cute!  Go check them out on my FB profile! 

And No I haven't had any sleep, think I'll go hit the shower, SBUX and then go down to the quilt shop and make some more chickens.  It's mindless entertainment and will keep my mind occupied and off the situation with my blasted job!!!

I'm so glad that I adopted the little gray and white one from Yvonne!  She and Peeka are just now starting to enjoy racing around the house chasing each other. If I could just get Ally (the new one) to stop walking on me while I try to sleep!  Arrrggggghhhhh!!!!
