Taco Bell
Ok. So I am not an advocate for the Taco Bell but I did hit the drive thru the other day thinking I was going to get bean bowl, but saw the ad for the Fresco Menu while waiting. I opted for the Chicken Taco. It was a pretty good choice. I am glad to see they are making improvements. When I'm with my nieces or even friends at work going to lunch, these are choices I have to make all the time.
I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date. Current as of November 1, 2009
OH Mini-Challenge Goal for New Year's Day is 170 pounds. 11 pounds to go!
I posted the story of the new "posterchild" for Taco Bell's Fresco menu, on the main board last week .. This customer claims to have lost over 50 lbs. by eating only from the Fresco menu, sotra like "Jared" did with his fare at Subway .. (now, Taco Bell specifically disclaims that their Fresco food is meant to be used in a "lose weight" program, don't forget )
My pet peeve with burritos of late is that it seems everyone wants to stuff them with rice as cheap filler, really upping the carb content by doing so .. Grrrr If you ever go to Chipotle Grill, be sure and tell them early on HOLD THE RICE ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )
The problem is the AVERAGE-Non-WLS person can't eat just one serving and feel full. I know my husband often gets 4-6 tacos. The 92 gm taco= 3.2 oz of food. I know that is not nearly enough for the average person to eat. So I do applaud their efforts but I just wish they wouldn't present it as a healthy diet food.
