Jumpstart January B2B Wednesday
Let me tell you how last night went... True confession time...
Hungry after dinner and orchestra practice.
Started snacking on:
apple w/peanut butter....not so bad... still hungry, so I grabbed
baby carrots and celery sticks..... Not so bad....STILL hungry, so I grabbed
4 club crackers and sliced some pepper jack cheese fairly thin to eat with them... STILL hungry and watching American Idol so I grabbed the bag of Tostitos. Thank goodness it was almost empty. Ate about the equivalent of 10 chips... STILL hungry and FRUSTRATED by this point so I ate a snack sized bag of M&Ms (the last one, WHEW!)
Somewhere in there I should've said...I'm craving salt. I should drink water. But, I didn't. I just kept eating salt...which is what I've done for the past....months??
So, this afternoon, I'm hungry. I just ate an apple...and now I'm drinking lemon water trying to get over the hunger. TOTALLY my own fault for falling back into these old habits....but DANG, it's hard to get back on track.
Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. Together, we will work hard and beat this!!!!
I'm very frustrated too but I'm frustrated with myself. I don't know why I can't stay away from the snacks. I'm eating WAY too much quantity-wise but I can't make myself stop. I need to cook more solid protein so it stays with me longer. I KNOW what to do, it's just a matter of doing it. I got so used to eating the wrong things over the holidays that I find it really hard to go back to the correct way to eat.
plan for today
Breakfast: protein drink
Lunch: grilled chicken and salad
Dinner: pot roast

I'm back.
I'm also 5-6 lbs above goal, so I need help with accountability. I haven't posted in a while, but today is my commitment to get back "on". I just can't do this all on my own. I need the support of all you OH pals that really understand what I'm dealing with.
