This is a good place.  I go, my husband goes and my mother goes.  (We are in CA.)

It is not like regular gyms or Curves.  There is a Physical Therapist at each location.  So if you need PT, you can segue from that to maintenance exercises at one location.  Their fitness coaches ALL have advanced degrees in kinesiology...at Curves, you can be the "coach" because your mommy bought the franchise.  They have no treadmills, nothing that will hurt your back or knees..they give you whatever supervision you need.  So I am left to my own devices, but my mother has someone helping her along every step of the way.

They also have group classes, things that might benefit the frail elderly if you have one of those people in mind.  And there is a driving simulator.  I think that would be worth it to help an older relative SEE that he or she just isn't moving fast enough or processing information fast enough to be safe behind the wheel.  Or maybe to reassure "kids" that the older person IS still capable of driving.  However it works out.  And if you are sick or out of town (for at least a month), they freeze your membership for no fee.

(My husband is there right now...I had surgery on my wrist so my membership is frozen until I feel like going back.)

  Howdy Ms. Double C

What a great idea ..   It looks like they don't have any in the DFW area, though (yet)

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
