The NIGH****CHMAN - Monday 1/11

George T.
on 1/11/10 6:55 am - Grand Prairie, TX
Good evening all.  Temperature is warming up a little at least.

Got my washing machine drained, but it appears the switch that controls the cold water going into the machine is stuck in the open position.  Need to decide now between getting another washer (new or used - options are there), repairing, or just saying the heck with it and use the laundromat.  We did not mind using the laundromat yesterday, as all the laundry for the week or so was done in under 2 hours.

Not much else going on in my world.

Pray for Jenn R. and Eric.  Please.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Other prayer requests:

Amanda N. - researching the various WLS available.  May God help her to choose which is right for her.

George - prayers for Oleta's mother.  She is on hospice care and getting worse every day.  Oleta is not as upbeat as usual at this time.

Gina L. - brother Jerry still suffering.  Doctors are now leaning towards the problem being stopped up cardiac areteries.  He is very depressed and has chronic back pain also.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house in San Antonio.  They have made the move to the metroplex but still need to sell their house.

Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his GF and their kids.  They lost the parental rights to the children, but the decision is under appeal.

Kat's (Iwannabethinnow) friend will have a scan this week to see if the chemo was successful.

Kim (tennysonkw) wants prayer that she will be a better example to her children in the future, and that God will grant me strength to endure, as her and her husband go through their personal problems.

Kim G. - has anemia.

Meggie is in the hospital with abdominal pains again.  She will probably be requiring surgery.

Meggie's mother has breast cancer.  She has a large hematoma under it.  It is stage 1 cancer and they do not believe it has spread yet and don't think they will need to remove any lymph nodes. Radiation therapy will be everyday for 6-8 weeks.

Nina requests prayers for her cousin Troy who has been in and out of the hospital since Thanksgiving.  Also prayers for school enrollment.

Stephanie G.  - Her 88 year old mother, Sophie, has bladder cancer and needs to have surgery but failed her EKG.  Sending her to a cardiologist for a workup and surgery is postponed until she gets cardiac clearance.

Vivian requests prayers for the extra stress in her life due to her son and his girl friend living with her.

I took a dose of hydrocodone a few hours ago and am pretty loopy, so I'm not sure if this will make sense.

I'm so glad it was back to normal temperatures today. Not that I get outside very much, but it makes for a much more pleasant day for me.

Work is going well. It's hard getting through the day without any pain meds. I'm tired of not being 100%. Everything else is status quo.

Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

I may have missed it because I was off the board for two days.  Did you ever go to the doctor?

I went yesterday. I have a pulled intercostal muscle in my ribs. I'm not supposed to do anything that increases my respiration for at least 3 weeks, so no workouts for me. :( I have a script for hydrocodone, but it makes me so loopy, I can only take it at night.

Glad to hear you got to the problem.  Hope you get better soon.  Can you take half a tablet?

The pills are pretty large. I probably could break one in half. Maybe I'll try that when I get home tomorrow and see how functional I am.

Prayers for all who need them...

Jennifer, I'm surprised you are taking your hydrocodone as pills... Have you not tried it as a liquid??? Obviously it will help you much more because of absorption, but you will be loopier. LOL. It is not bad, especially if you have it flavored with watermelon. I don't taste that flavor, but it makes it bearable, and I don't even have to chase it with anything. Hope you feel better soon.

Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4

Evenin' George....
Just sitting here in my recliner wide awake, listening to my dad snore.  I absolutely cannot wait until Wednesday when I can hopefully get the cath and drain out.  He won't leave me down here by myself until then.  WAHHHH!!!!

Tomorrow we are going to try to go run a FEW errands.  I can get out, but just have to go at a much slower pace and won't be able to do a lot of places.  Dad got a good dose of my crazy day today.  The school nurse called and Sarah needed Motrin, so he had to stop what he was doing so he could go take the pill to her, then at 4:30 had to pick up the two older girls, then by 5:15 had to leave to take Sarah to tennis practice!  NUTS.  He was like, "geez, I feel like I've been in the car since 2:00".  I just smiled and WANTED to say, "welcome to my world"!!!

Hope your night at work is nice and quiet!
