Good morning Train Riders!  I haven't posted here much this week, but I have been reading.  Planning for a fun day out and about today.  We're going to go start looking at apartments again.  I really love where we are at, it's by far the best complex I've lived in, but Jeff has almost an hour commute both ways and I hate that for him.  So we're going to go see what's available in the Lewisville area.

Please say some prayers for calm and peace for Jeff.  He's having an EGD and colonoscopy done on Monday morning and he's pretty nervous about it.  The doc prepared us for him not really finding anything definite, as that is the case many times.  Hopefully whatever he does find is easily treated and/or corrected.  Jeff will be on clear liquids tomorrow so we've got to go pick up jello, broth and juice today.

Not much else going on.  My FIL has been released to normal activities from his brain surgery. He's still having some recovery issues that really bother him but the doc says are completely normal.  Work is keeping me very busy and my manager is expanding my role so I'll continue to be busy busy busy.  It is definitely nice to be appreciated, just wish that would roll over to the paycheck in a more concrete way.

Ok, off to drink my protein coffee and make a plan for eating for the day.  Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Debbi- I'm sure they told him no orange, red or grape liquids before the colonscopy.  That was the hardest part for me.  I hate lemon and lime.  I was lucky and found pineapple jello and one of the gas stations by me had a "white" cherry slurpie.  It was awesome.

Good luck on your appt search.  I know you're gonna hate moving again.

Good Morning Michelle and TMB!  Wow it's 23 here and the wind is blowing bad.  I'm staying in today, and hope to relax some.

Coffee taste devine this morning!  The fireplace is on and I'm wrapped up in a comfy robe!

Good morning all.  For the first time in MONTHS, I'm NOT COLD!!  I bought an electric blanket last night and slept like a baby.  Hailey is watching TV wrapped in it right now.  I just need about 2 extra controllers that I can leave plugged in so I can just carry the blanket from room to room with me.  I think I'll buy me a "Throw" sized one for the den when everyone restocks.  Right now even Walamrt.com is out.

I am meeting Stephanie R (and hopefully Jodie) for lunch today.  It's nice to find someone else located on our side of the world.  If there's anyone else from the Rowlett/Garland/Mesquite area that wants to join us, we're going to Jason's Deli in Rowlett at 1:00.  Just give me a shout so I know you're coming.

Today's Hailey's 23rd birthday.  We bought her a set of professional cookware and a new camera.  She was thrilled to death.  That girl loves to cook.  She's going to "her" restaurant for dinner tonight with friends, Dad and I aren't invited...sad day when your baby grows up.

 

Good morning... getting ready to head out the door  to a support group of lapbanders!!!  I'm  excited as I really need some support....  Guess I need to start looking for an additional group as well... hard to find one you click with, ya know!  I just didn't find much of a connection with the other group I was going to other then Donna....

Then it's off to the grocery store so that I can get some cooking done today... hubby has decided he likes my little portioned lunches... he's lost 25lbs so hey maybe it's helping!!!!

Good chilly morning ya'll.  Been awhile since I caught a seat on the train.  Been lurking lately more than posting.  Haven't had much to say.  Still looking for a job, King's had the "crud" - so nothing new around here.

We went out last night for one of the racing banquets because King's best friend won the championship for his class not only at the track, but also the region, state and national levels as well.  So we may or may not have had a little too much fun.  I woke up at 5:30 as usual and tossed and turned, all the while King is snoring like there's no tomorrow - matter of fact I can still hear it from the bedroom now.  He said he was sleeping in today, so I'm trying to let sleeping dogs lie.  LOL

Picking up Steph G in a bit to go meet Steph R for a bite of lunch and girl talk and get to know Steph R.   I should have already reached out to her considering she lives in Mesquite, too.  Bad Jodie.

Nothing else on our agenda besides watching the Cowboy game tonight.  Got plans to make chili for supper and I'll probably stop at the grocery store and pick up the stuff to make some queso to get us through the playoff games tomorrow. 

Everyone stay warm.  It is cold, but I'm not complaining.  The last 3 January's I've been working either on the east coast or midwest, so I'm not complaining.  At least the sun is shining today!
