Cold days are here!! What is your favorite cold weather recipe? Mine is:

Green Chile or Chile Verde (Jack’s version)

1-1/2 to 2 lbs ground pork

2 cups or more Pic-Sweet Seasoning Blend (onions, green peppers, celery)

4 cans Green Chiles*

1 can beef broth

1 can diced tomatoes (can use Rotel for added  heat)

1 can diced potatoes

1/1/2 cups corn

1 tbsp minced garlic

2 tbsp butter

1/2 tsp cumin

1 tsp Mexican oregano (can use plain)

2 tsp salt

Brown pork in skillet, drain and rinse with ho****er and set aside. Sauté Seasoning Blend and Garlic in butter. Mix all ingredients except corn in large pan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 -20 minutes. Add corn and simmer additional 10 minutes.

Can sprinkle on crushed red pepper flakes after serving for added spice/heat.

*Can used chopped or whole green chiles and chop them to a bigger size. I like using the whole chiles and chopping them myself so I don’t get all the seeds.

I just copy and paste the ones I like and put them in a file on my pc.  I read your post on the sweet tea.  I use splenda but I think there is a 1/2 splenda 1/2 sugar blend but I am not sure how that would work for you.  I'm lapband so I don't have the dumping issues.   Hope that helps.
I do buy a gallon of sweet tea from a local chicken place and I water it down for me to drink.
I can email you some of the recipes I have.  You may want to look up Eggface too, she has alot of recipes!  Vivian does too and Steph55, has a very delicious chicken salad recipe.

Blessings,

Nina
