I'm down .3 but my head just isn't in this ball game.  I'm not sure if it's lacking motivation, if I'm getting sick, I'm not sleeping well or becuase I'm freezing.  But I'm like Becky, nothing sounds good.  I eat cause it's on plan but I'm choking it down, literally.  Everything sticks and some things are making me feel naseous.  Can't quite put my finger on it.  I'm going to change up today's menu and see if that helps at all.

B: coffee, an egg, a slice of bacon and 1/2 whole wheat eng muffin
(end of coffee - in case that's the irritant)
S: warm protein pudding (not instant, mixing in protein powder while warm - very experimental!!)
L: southwestern chicken soup (progresso lite w/chicken and beans)
S: hot tea
D: ?? going out to dinner, but small, warm and protein packed
S: hot tea

going light on the afternoon and bedtime snack becuase I know that eating out, even small can be calorie packed, so I'm trying to save some calories there.  And I'm thinking some herbal teas - WARM  herbal teas - will help my tummy if there is something going on there.

Good Morning Danni and TMB,

I have been so busy trying to get everything prepared for the upcoming Mardi Gras 12th night celebration and my soirée that I have not been checking in like I should. I promise to do better.  I will have to be extra careful because from now through Mardi Gras there is something going on every weekend and sometimes during the week.  My plans are to keep the carbs low at all times and enjoy a little bit of the good stuff at the events.

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

Okay - guys -  I'm just on the verge of 'crying" this morning..............

I just can't get my head in this game right now...........I'm really fustrated....I know what I have to do and what I  SHOULD do......but  its just not getting done..............MOTIVATION problem - I don't know.........

I do know that I'm not feeling well for the past 2 days.....maybe thats the issue........ I'm waking up in the middle of the night just absolutely  SO COLD that I can't even make myself MOVE out of the covers to get more blankets to put on me.................Whats up with that ?    I sleep with 1 blanket and and electric blanket on HIGH ...............I couldn't even feel that last night.....grrrrrrrr

So - I'm eating the same old things....falling back in the trap again...............I gotta get my excercise in and STOP OBESSING on when the next meal is.............grrrrrrrrr  that STINKIN' thinking just sux right now..................I guess maybe some prayer time is really needed to get back on track and focused.......................we have a wonderful excercise room here  at work - so there really isn't any excuses for me NOT to do something during the day.....I JUST NEED TO LEAVE MY DESK..............for something other than FOOD !!

Have a GREAT day !!

Phyllis....please don't beat  yourself up !!!  I think we all struggle after the New Year.    I have started this week writting down EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth and posting it on my fridge so EVERYONE in my family can see it.    Trust me....my oldest son has been giving me heck over doing this.   LOL    Posting on a website everything I eat doesn't work for me.    I have to do the fridge thing.   LOL   Anyway prayers going out for you sweetie.   I feel your pain.   Monday I did great till late at night then I started grazing big time.    Yesterday did well and when the 11 PM rolled around....I went to bed !!!   Wasn't going to repeat monday.     Make your plan and keep forbidden foods away from your desk at work and from your home.   Keep good healthy, protein packed foods with you at all times so if you feel the urge to eat....eat them.    Love you and I will do anything I can do to help you out.     The tool is still there and still works.   We all need to wrap our head around making "good choices" and I am talking to MYSELF as much as you.  As for the feet being cold...mine are cold ALL THE TIME !!!    I wear socks to bed alot of the time.   Love ya !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

Phyllis I posted this morning without reading and now I'm going back thru the thread and I see that everyone is saying the same thing.  We are all cold.  And none of us have our head in the right place.  I don't have the answer, but you need to realize that youj are NOT alone and you are NOT abnormal.  So get out of stress mode cause that just makes it worse.  Now...lets come up with a game plan to handle this head stuff.

I think for me it really is about being cold.  And I think that's might be your issue, too, based on what you posted.  I'm going to pull out my leader guide and surft the net today.  There has to be some info out there, if not an answer why then lets get some ideas on how to get ans stay warm.  You in with me?  See what you can find and we'll exchange notes and ideas.

Hey Phyillis - on the cold at night thing, do you sleep with socks on?  I've found that if I keep my feet warm at night it makes a HUGE difference for me, so I put my fuzzy socks on before bed and keep them on all night.

that is a thought......I usually start off with them - during the night - they apparently get kicked off during the night because I ABSOLUTELY HATE ANYTHING ON MY FEET.   Shoes get kicked off as soon as I walk in my apt..............

I looked at my manual and several sites, lots of hits on low B vitamins.  The B1 (thiamin) and Iodine popped up more than once in my search.

B1 acts within the nervous system.  Iodine acts within the Thyroid to control body temperature.  Yet another reason to stay on top of our vitamins.

One site recommends hot baths to warm up because it dialates the blood vessels and allows them to warm which can in turn warm us deeper down in the tissues.  For hands and feet they recommend running in warm tap water (not too hot to burn) or soaking in a shallow bowl/pan.

Let me know if you find any more or different info.
