Good afternoon all.  Getting ready for the "Arctic Blast" here soon.

Not much going on in my world.  Working with newbies at my full time job makes the shift interesting.

Anxiously awaiting the weekend.  Stars game on Friday night and then on Saturday I will watch the football games with Brad at his house.

If you have any prayer requests, please PM me with the info, or post it on the NW thread.  I only ask that you keep me updated so I can keep the list current.  I don't think that is asking too much.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Other prayer requests:

George - prayers for Oleta's mother.  She is on hospice care and getting worse every day.  Oleta is not as upbeat as usual at this time.

Gina L. - brother Jerry still suffering.  Doctors are now leaning towards the problem being stopped up cardiac areteries.  He is very depressed and has chronic back pain also.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house in San Antonio.  They have made the move to the metroplex but still need to sell their house.

Jeris asks for prayer as she is a single mom to a 4 year old and is in the working world.

July is going through a divorce, requesting prayers for her and her kiddos.  We know a divorce is tough, and can be especially tough financially.

Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his GF and their kids.  They lost the parental rights to the children, but the decision is under appeal.

Kat's (Iwannabethinnow) friend will have a scan this week to see if the chemo was successful.

Kim (tennysonkw) wants prayer that she will be a better example to her children in the future, and that God will grant me strength to endure, as her and her husband go through their personal problems.

Kim G. - has anemia.

Lynne asks for prayer for Miranda as she seeks facility to help her son as well as patience for homeschooling in the meantime.

Meggie is in the hospital with abdominal pains again.  She will probably be requiring surgery.

Meggie's mother has breast cancer.  She has a large hematoma under it.  It is stage 1 cancer and they do not believe it has spread yet and don't think they will need to remove any lymph nodes. Radiation therapy will be everyday for 6-8 weeks.

Nina requests prayers for her cousin Troy who has been in and out of the hospital since Thanksgiving.  Also prayers for school enrollment.

Stephanie G.  - Her 88 year old mother, Sophie, has bladder cancer and needs to have surgery but failed her EKG.  Sending her to a cardiologist for a workup and surgery is postponed until she gets cardiac clearance.

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers.  Her father will be having surgery Dec. 14th in hopes of completely ridding his body of cancer.  Also for herself as she will be seeing her doctor on Dec. 17th to discuss removal of mesh and possible reversal.  Is really needing some "normalcy" in her life.

Vivian requests prayers for the extra stress in her life due to her son and his girl friend living with her.

Below is one of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  This is one specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Thanks as always George for doing this thread.

I had my endoscopy on Monday and the dr found everything to be normal. When I originally was having the pain in my pouch was mid November, and he said I probably did have an ulcer then, it just cleared up.

I had my tonsils removed this morning, and after and afternoon of puking my guts out, I'm able to hold food and liquid down. I'm hurting some but hoping the pain meds I took will knock the pain out soon.

Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4

Hi George;

I'm exhausted. I had a very mentally exhausting day at the office. The best news of my day was my boss telling me to plan a trip to NYC in a few weeks. So, Michael and I are trying to coordinate our travel schedules as to not have to kennel the dogs or have someone come stay with them. It looks like he'll be in Atlanta 1/25-29 and I'll be in NYC 2/1-4. I'm looking forward to it because I haven't been in nearly a year, but I'm nervous about setting expectations and being very conscientious about making it as successful of a trip as I can.

I strained my right pectoral muscle hoisting the Christmas tree into the attic over the weekend. The little bit of coughing I'm still doing compounded with yesterday's work out has made it extremely painful every time I cough or laugh. I'm thinking about going to bed early so I'm not thinking about it.

Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Hey George....
YIKES....less than 10 hours to go!  Getting VERY nervous.  Dr. L.'s office called me this afternoon to let me know there was a delay so instead of having to be at the hospital by 6:00 am, they told me I now don't have to be there until 10:00 with surgery no sooner than noon.  Great.  I had geared myself up for that, but I just got off the phone with the hospital and they have moved my surgery back up so now I have to be there at 6:30.  Man oh man, I'm so confused!!!  Wish they would get things ironed out.  I hate this back and forth crap!!!  Keep the good vibes going for everything to go smooth tomorrow.  Will try to see if Lynne or Miranda can jump on and update you if they can.

Will try to log back on in a bit...

I hate noon surgeries.  I want to get it over with bright and early.  Plus, the doggone nurses always say nothing to eat after midnight, whether you have a 6 AM surgery or a 1PM.  That rubs me wrong.

No kidding.  For me it's the no liquids thing that will make me one cranky mom!  I usually get a SBUX tea the night before and leave it in the fridge so first thing in the morning that's what I grab and then head down to the bus stop with Sarah.  Wellll, the tea will be sitting there until Paul brings it to me tomorrow.  He'd best bring me a couple or I will definitely be cranky.  I will get a SPLITTING headache without it!

Thanks....starting to get that horrible queasy pre-surgery jitters, too!  One of the gals in his office told me to take the valium BEFORE bed and it will be in effect still in the morning.  HA!  No WAY would it be still workin'.  Last time he had me take a 5 mg pill before I left the house and it didn't hit me up at all.  UUUUGH!  This time they prescribed me TWO but only to take one and just take the other one with me in case we hit a delay.  ARGH!

Paul said this is IT so hopefully Dr. L. will whittle away everything he needs to this time because there won't be any more!
