Hello everyone. I'm new to the Texas WLS Forum and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kim and I had RNY gastric bypass back in November. Since then I've lost 50 lbs. My surgeon was Dr. Wade Barker. My surgery went very well and the healing process has gone well, aside from the usual stuff. My husband, family, coworkers, and friends have all been very supportive throughout my journey and I feel very fortunate. I've mostly been on the OH Forum then found out there was one for Texans so of course I had to jump right on in. I've learned to much from posts by others and I feel that this has really helped in my healing and recovery.  Thank goodness for the people who created this website and the awesome people on the forums.

You are very lucky to have a good support system at home...when i first got home and was trying new foods and they didnt all agree my poor DH said "im beginning to not like this surgery" i just had to laugh....but it is so much better now, im a month out and still learning every day...

Please post often, i look forward to getting to know you!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! It's awesome to have so many people to learn from, chat with, and meet who have WLS in common.
