I just sent a meeting to my boss saying that I'm going on a cruise and that we can reschedule OR he can find someone else to plan the meeting- it didn't matter to me. All that matters is I'm ON THAT BOAT! I'm so excited. I watched Love Boat in reruns and first runs for YEARS!

Okay guys...how crazy do you think I'd be if hubby and I brought our little guy? He will be 3 in May. I can't bear leaving him at home, he's not old enough to understand and would be so scared mommy and daddy left him.  :-(   There are programs during the day on the ship, and even babysitting from 10p-3a....

Is anyone else bringing along a rugrat?

extremely certifiable. I TOTALLY understand you not wanting to leave him for 5 days..he's a little guy after all. But having been  on multiple cruises with little ones on board, are you gonna feel comfy leavin him w strangers at night? keeping him entertained during the day etc? just things to think about

Kim there are no planned group activities so i don't see why it would be a problem.  When my daughter was little (like 9 months old) we went to Mexico without her and made the mistake of calling home to "check on her" and was told "Granny has her in the sink trying to get her fever down".  We were worried sick so it might of been better if she were with us.  BUT on the other hand, it sure was nice to be alone and just enjoy each other and our vacation.  To answer your question-so far you're the only one thinking about bringing a kiddo.

Yeah... I think I would leave him in the childrens activities a few hours each day, and pay for the babysitting at night... I'd have him close to me and safe, and I'd be able to enjoy a cruise knowing he was ok....

I even told hubby I wasn't plannin on snorkeling, but he could go right ahead while little bit and I take pictures.

Hopefully no one else comes along and tells me I'm super crazy! He's our youngest, all of our big boys are in school, and to them, they'd be on a vacation, staying at their cousins' house playing video games. Dream come true for them... But my little guy is a mamas boy and neither one of his grandmothers have offered to take him over night... So he's never been without me except when I had my RNY, but he was so young, that day isn't even a memory.

do what you need to to be able to enjoy it - I have even paid a teen to come on vacation with us (and paid their way of course) so I could leave my kids with someone they knew.
