Texting Tuesday WLS Express!

GOOD MORNING! It was SO cold yesterday, and its going to get colder this week. And, no snow, drat. I mean if its going to be in the 20's at least we should have an excuse to stay inside and under the covers!
Texting- do you text? How often? What is the best and worst part? I text alot. And I've got facebook mobile set up to text me when certain people post. The best part is I can ask someone a quick question and I don't have to worry about them being busy and bothering them with a call. Most everyone returns texts pretty quickly. The worst part-when someone can't spell or uses too many abbreviations and I don't understand what they're talking about. I don't usually have a big problem with it though.

Praying for Eric and Meggie.And prayers for Jenny and Ken as well for strength and energy.

Gina- when does Richard go to the doctor? Did your headache go away?

Michelle, Danni, and other moms- are the kids ready for being back at school? I asked Chris how his day was yesterday and he said fine. I asked if everyone was excited to be back and he said NO! lol.

Those who teach/work at schools-hope today goes well.

WOOOOHOOO for Tuesday because that means I made it through Monday, LOL  I had 2 problems figured out and the fixes done and ready to move to production before the rest of the gang got here yesterday... conducted a web meeting to demo an application that some of other guys in my group want to start using.... stayed a tad late to help figure out the latest twist in a project that's being tested by our QA (quality assurance) group... and as I was walking out the door I was answering questions for our analyst who is writing up the specs for my next project.... ROFL  Don't you just love jumping right back into the thick of things after the holidays?   NOT....

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

OOPS! Forgot to say.... SOMETIMES I'll text a response back if I get a text.... but I rarely if ever initiate a text.... I'd much rather get a phone call any day than a text.... ALTHOUGH  I'm not a big let's talk on the phone kind of person either.... I'm more of a let's sit and talk in person for hours on end kind of person....  LOL 

Karen, can I come work for you?  You sound like you have a great job.  I'd love to work with you!  LOL!! 

Texting.  I just got unlimited texting and I love it.  I don't text as much as my friends daughter (3800 last month!!) but I do text.

Well work is going well.  The Inspection Service came out and told the Plant Manager that they had to let us work the PARS mail.  It's still live.  We're only 6 weeks behind with over 120 trays of mail to work (it takes one person one full day to work 8 trays of mail) so we are going to get some help and we are secure for a little bit.  Hopefully, another agency that I have put in for will give me a call to come work for them in the meantime!  That would make for a happy new year for me!!

Speaking of work, better get in the shower and get to it!  I have to go to the State Comptrollers office.  I filed for a tax number 7 years ago to go into business but I never went into business.  I went to school instead.  Now they say that they estimated taxes and I owe about $1500 for the last 6 years of taxes!  On what??  I never went into business??  Oh well, My mom and I are going to go talk to them and hopefully get this straightened out!  What a mess!

Great news that you are secure for a while.  Good luck with the applications and with the State Comptrollers office.  I'm sure you'll be able to get it straightened out.

Karen this song is one of my favorites too.  Maybe it will get stuck and "Winter Wonderland" will GO AWAY!!!!

Dang Karen!!! What a day!!!!  Sounds like it kept you busy and if you are like me, you'd rather be busy than twiddling your thumbs.  :)

Good Morning Alissa and the rest of my TMB Family,

Another cold day here in Dover.   Windchill about 15.  I over winter already.  To bad there is still at least 2 months to go.  Alissa, I used to Text much more then I do now.  Mostly stay in touch with Tim through texts but thats about it.  Eric got up ok yesterday but had to fight me about wearing a jacket.  I swear he is warm blooded and never ever complains about the cold.  Finally got him to put his jacket on.  Like Chris when I asked him how his day was and all he said was fine!  He never elaburates on school.  I enjoyed having the day to myself.  Today I have to go to Blockbuster and return a game we rented.  Hopefully GPS lady will get me to where I need to go cause I have no idea.  I plan to do it early so I can come home and stay warm.  Got all my bloodwork back, B-6 level was a little elivated but he said because I am not showing any symptoms no need to worry about it.  Everything else was fine.  Having a lot of pain in my hips and my legs but I think it just due to the cold.  Trying to get in with the pain management doctor but they dont like to call you back.  Did pretty good yesterday with my food.  Danni I took your advice and set the timer.  It worked great.  Ok time to get a move on.  Prayers this morning for Eric and Jenny, Meggie and Ken, and all the others that are in need spoken or unspoken.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys.

Girl, I am sooo with you about the cold.  Hate to break it to you, but it stays cold here on the Eastern Seaboard well past March. I think it was MAY before we finally stopped using our heater last year. Not all day everyday, but nights and early mornings were cold enough that we needed it.  Definitely different from TX!!

Hope you get a call back from the pain management ppl soon.  Sometimes they want a call from your PCM before they will set up an appt...might wanna check into that to be sure.  

The timer.  My best friend when I'm trying to get off the computer and get things done.  I had forgotten about that!  Need to do that today as I've gotta have things done and be out the door today by 12:30 latest.  YIKES!!!

Good question Alissa.  I text.  A lot.  So does Mary.  I am not allowed on the cell phone at my desk, but my supervisor does not mind if you text.  So, before Mary goes to bed I can text a conversation with her.  We discuss what is going on, what needs to be done.  I also text with her while I am at my other job, while I am sitting around watching TV.  And I love to receive my text updates from ESPN regarding the Rangers and the Jets.
