Good morning!!!  Hope you don't mind Karla if I get things started this morning.  I know you're sleeping in late this morning... enjoy your last day!!!  Anxious about going back to work today after 4 weeks off... but I'm trying something new this week.   Packed my lunch last night so I would have time to post in the mornings.  Hopefully I can keep it up!!!

L: bean soup/ small piece of cornbread
S: greek yogurt
D: talpia/ veggie

Today I PLAN:

Breakfast:  protein shake
Snack:  oops better go get something.  Cheese and ham
Lunch:  pork roast and brussel sprouts
Snack:  not sure, probably cheese and ham
Dinner:  Ham, mash potatoes and green beans


I need to shop badly, I'm going to wait until Blane gets home on Thursday so we can go together.  Both of us are trying to cut back on the family food budget we waste to much.  I have some recipes I'm going through before Thursday to plan meals for the next week.

not sure what todays plan is - have my first shake and 2 litters of water and cl next to me - startign with that - going to eat off of my small plates and when they are full I am done - pulled out homemade chilli and have shrimp salad ready to eat - aiming for healthyer eating today and all my water
Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband

I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail

Good morning!  I've got most of my plan for the day ready:

Protein coffee
Egg beaters w/ ham, veggies & cheese
Turkey salad & corn
Cottage cheese w/ ham & ranch dressing
Mozzarella stick

I have to make my menu of dinners up today, so I'm not sure what we'll have tonight, but I got a new cookbook so I may try something out of there.

I'm also going to do one of the workouts on the new video I got yesterday.  There are 6 15 min work outs so that fits in perfectly with what I want.

Lots of water, decaf coffee and tea are also in my future today.  Gotta get back below 250 asap so I can get down to 245 in Jan.  I'm setting short 4-5 lb goals for each month.

I walked 30 min at the gym this morning.

I am back at work so hopefully this will make it easier to stick with my plan.

Seems that ' last meal day' really did me in yesterday! lol.  I am up 1.5 pounds from yesterday but it's lots of salt im' sure.  Oh well, no more looking back.  My plan

Spec K protein plus cereal mixed in lo carb yogurt.

stuffed baked chicken breast and broccoli salad (has corn and dressing, not the best but need not waste it)

plain meatloaf

water water water water..

It's got to be better than I have been and that's how I got to work it!

Let's make 2010 the best yet!

My main goal this week is to limit snacking while at the cancer center. I will probably get bored, and boredom leads to snacking. Especially is Eric falls asleep. But I worked last night so hopefully I can catch a couple winks myself which will limit eating. Then I come home and go to bed because I work again tomorrow morning. So eating is going to be a figure-it-out-as-I-go-along sorta day methinks. At least I have healthy things planned to nosh on, and a Dunkin Donuts latte made with calorie countdown milk to get me through it.

On a side note, does anyone have feedback on how to handle kids when they say "I don't want you to be big (a.k.a FAT) - I want you to be like me and Alex's mom!" because if I hear that one more time my head is going to explode. The last thing I need right now is my kid calling me fat - even if she's just doing it because that's what all kids her age do. I can't help but get hurt feelings because even though I've come so far, my kid and her school mates are still going to think I'm fat. I tell her everyone is different but jeez, I can't handle much more of it right now. She just really has crappy timing. Thanks for any feedback.
