Monday Morning Weigh In
Don't get disillusioned, it happens and often! Up your water and keep on with your routine. I usually add a little lemon juice to mine when I feel like I am retaining fluids. I would see it gone in a couple of days. I think that I am happy that I have found that I can maintain, which is about what I have been doing for the last few months, but now I am ready to lose those last 8-10lbs I want to get off. You're doing a good job, keep it up!

(I didn't even want to post this - I haven't had a BM in 3 days and I ate 6 gazillion sunflower seeds in the deer blind this weekend!)
I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions. I am responsible for my actions.
There 10 times - maybe I can remember that!

OK, yea... that was a little TMI, but look at what you put in, it may take it a while to work its way out. Are you drinking LOTS of water? The salt in the seeds alone would blow me up like a balloon. You ARE responsible, evident by your success, so you know you will work it! Hang in there and give it a couple of days.

Today: 145.8
Weekly loss: +1.0 (gain)

I am back to where I was 2 weeks ago so not bad considering everything I have eaten in the past 2 weeks. Kyle is fixing me a steak and baked potato for my bday - actually one steak and one baked potato for both of us LOL since I only eat a few bites.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Mari ! This is the first birthday I have ever had where I was happy with my weight and not planning a diet after my birthday. I hope I can say the same thing next year - posting on this thread every week will hopefully keep me from straying too far from that goal before I get a grip on it.

I guess it is really a good thing that I am going back to work tomorrow because I have stayed pretty stagnant over the 2 week break despite all the time available to graze! I won't act too excited to be going back because my kids would like to have another week off. I know my routine will include more activity and I seem to be better about getting the majority of my liquid in because I am a librarian and drink often to wet my whistle after reading to each class who comes in.
Immediate goal: 5 pounds to make it a total of 100 lbs lost since June 17th. I'll keep you posted!

Maintaining over the holidays is not such a bad thing, especially since this is your first one since surgery. I have an immediate goal myself and am going to be "working it" to accomplish this little thing. Keep up the good work, you're doing a great job!
Please do keep us posted...here...every Monday!

I know what you mean...thinking about the next 12 months kinda scares me to death, cuz here and NOW is when it gets tough! But I hope that I/we are ready for the challenge...I think we are. You're like me, you don't want to go back to where you were this time in 2008.
This thread keeps ME responsible for my actions, reactions, and what I put in my mouth. That's why I don't stop doing it, I can stay focused (to some degree) and if I do stray too far, I know someone here will call me on it. Or at least I hope they will.

I haven't posted lately because I had computer problems. I am down to 182 lbs and size 10/12. I feel great and am working hard on exercising and eating right. Labs have been great and no more problems with pain.
I got P-Oed at my surgeon at my last visit... she informed me that after about 2 years I would be able to eat sugar again. I asked her why she told me that... I didn't NEED to know that... I don't want to eat sugar and gain my weight back...
It really made me angry that she would tell me that... after all... sugar, sweets and fats got me obese in the first place.
Anyway, glad you are doing well.
Wish I could go on the cruise with all of you, but we are going on NCL cruise in April to the Bahamas, and already have another cruise booked to take to the Bahamas by next year... Have fun and STAY AWAY FROM THE BUFFET ON THE Escatsy... it is nasty. Pure grease. Salad bar was okay though. We went 2 yrs ago and got sick on the rancid greasy taste of the breakfast foods. NOT FUN>>>
Hugs,
Deborah
