Meggie update

Scope wasn't long enough to be useful. Meg was given these options: Live with the pain (not), seek another opinion (not likely), reverse the bypass (after all this???), resect the bad bowel (I think she feels that this has the most potential) (me too). whatever she decides, I will be there 110%. I will update as it plays out. Ken

Ken, I'm sorry Meggie keeps dealing with the complications.  What exactly would they do with the bowel.  Is it an obstruction or kinked?

I think it's called Aharrant bowel syndrome?? or something like that. her small bowel looks more like a string of sausages rather than like a smooth snake.

Oh my Goodness!!!!!  I haven't been on here in a while, and didn't know that she was having complications...... PLEASE call Dr Provost... he has been a God Send for me.  He actually reversed my surgery, but I was having different problems (and the reversal was what I wanted).  He specializes in people having complications, and she really needs to consult with him.  He really knows his stuff.  If you would like his number, please PM me and I will get it to you.  I'm adding her to my prayer list now.

I would recommend getting another opinion.  This has gone on too long and this particular doctor doesn't seem to be able to get to the bottom of it.  A fresh pair of eyes might offer some really good insight and options.

Isn't it Dr. Provost that seems to be so helpful to so many with complications coming up???  I hope Meggie gets answers and fixes soonest!

Ken and Meggie.....prayers coming your way that God will give Meggie the answers that she seeks.   I am with Stephanie....I think at this point I would get another opinion.   My doctor I believe would do that and he is EXCELLENT....Dr. David D. Kim.    Prayers for you both.   Good luck in whatever you decide to do.   Love you guys !!!
