Here's to Jumpstartin' our New Year!

Today's plan for me...I will get down 'n dirty with this come Tuesday when I go back to work.

Today's plan:
lots of liquids...I usually get in at least 96 oz. or hopefully 20- 30 more everyday.  I do it by drinking all morning, then sporadically the rest of the day.  I use protein coffee, water, chicken broth, other protein drinks, decaf coffee w/ flavoring and decaf iced tea

protein coffee
another protein drink
bruschetta with angus beef for lunch and layered salad
beef canneloni or chili for dinner

What's your plan?

Karla

Good morning!!!!  Did not like what I saw on the scale this morning... up 2lbs from my lowest so it's time to buckle down and get busy!!!!!!   My goal for today is no candy or cookies!!!!  I have decided to freeze my leftover goodies and pull out a bag at a time for the kids here and there...  I still just can't throw food away!!!!  Will that ever change???

So my plan for today is...
B: Believe RTD
L: Oh yeah RTD
D: Shrimp
S: a few crackers and cheese

Good morning all!  I'm back home and ready to get back on board with my goals and plans today!  I'm only up 4.5 lbs from my trip, and since I did a lot of carb snacking and not much fluid drinking I'm ok with that.  I know I'll be able to get that back where I want it pretty quickly.

I've only got  a partial food plan for today so far as my fridge is mostly empty and I need to figure out what I've got tucked away in the freezer.

Protein coffee
Good luck soup - beans, black eyed peas, ham and stuff
Apple

I believe a trip to the grocery store to stock up on my staples will be in order today.  I'm also going to fit a 20 min walk in today.  My plan is that M, W, F are going to be my exercise days to start with.  I'm going to set small, attainable goals for getting my body moving again.  I got way to tired walking around DC this last week and it just reminded me that I need to strengthen my body through this journey as well as lose the weight.

Good morning,

I am ready to get back to it today. Have not planned what to eat, but I know it will involve some black eyed peas!   I am having some egg, cheese and sausage in a corn tortilla for brunch.  Problem is, I have taken only a couple bites and it's not going down right.  Maybe eating too fast.  Need to let it settle or do something about it.  I do need to eat.

Got to keep my liquids going all day as well.   As for exercise, I am actually sore from walking and climbing all over my cabinets and up and down the ladder.  Who knew! lol

Let's make the best of this new year and I hope we can all look back on 1.1.11 and see some real improvement!

The scale showed 160.0 even this morning.  That's not good, but I was seeing 164 at the beginning of the week.  Just time to keep it going.

Good morning and welcome to the start of another year of accountability.  I officially weighed and wrote it on the calendar in INK= 157.  (which is only down 5 lbs from last Jan 1st but at least it's DOWN).

I'm officially starting on Monday but my plan for today is a big breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast) and dinner tonight of ham, scalloped potatoes and baked beans.  I already took my vitamins so at least I'm faithful about that.  Need to hit the WATER which is something I haven't done in a really long time.

Here I am. Claiming responsibility for what I have to do to keep myself sane. I will participate every single day even if I don't want to own up to everything (there will be many times I have indiscretion I'm sure - prepare yourself - LOL).

Making my soup for next week and snacks and had tuna and yogurt for breakfast. Went for a walk this morning and it felt great. It's weird how you can walk every single day of your life but when you go out TO walk it feels like you haven't used your body in ages. Felt good to get some endorphins pumpin'!

I decided to make a commitment to myself to walk every day I don't work - even chemo days. On work days I've been standing on my feet for 6 hours so I'm worn out when I get home. Now, I go on daily plate and put in "standing while doing stuff" and it says I burn over 300 calories an hour based on my weight. Ummm ya. I don't believe that. Maybe 300 for the night but whatever. If I worked those totals into my deficit, etc I'd end up being allowed to eat 4000 calories a day and lose. LOL. Ya - not gonna happen.

So I'm working on making food plans of appx 1500 calories with high protein and fiber. I'm good with water so that's a done deal. Now it's just a matter of sticking to plan. I'll follow up later with what I did eat for the day simply for the sake of accountability.

Gettin it started right with lots of protein.  I marinated a brisket, a venison roast and a couple of venison steaks last night.  The venison will marinate for one more day, but we're cooking the brisket for today and will eat off of it fo a few days.  I also made a big pot of blackeyed peas...another source of protein combined with a little fiber.  So that's my big-picture plan for the week.

Here is how today is looking -
B: breakfast pizza cooked in my new toaster oven (ezekial tortilla, 1 scrambled egg, lf cheese, salsa)
S: coffee protein gingerbread latte
L: brisket and blackeyed peas
D: more of lunch...brisket and blackeyed peas
S: greek yogurt, ground flax seed, and berries
