I had a fantastic visit with my parents and wi**** didn't have to end so soon. I really miss living close to them and can't wait till Dad retires and they move here. Here's a short list of the things we saw in DC and New York:
Korean, Lincoln, Vietnam, World War II Memorials
Air & Space Museum at Dulles airport
Long Island, Manhattan, Broadway, World Trade center area, Statue of Liberty
Spy Museum, DC metro, National Archives, History Museum
Goddard Space Center
We didn't even make a dent in what we would have liked to see, so we'll definitely be going back up there to see more. The best thing though was spending time hanging out with my family. We got to spend some time with my brother and SIL, had a really good dinner with us and all of her family, and talked and talked lots.
I've already unpacked everything, and put most of the stuff away. So today I can enjoy hanging out with Danni and the kids and tomorrow I can get back to normal life.
I wanted to ask for some healing prayers for my FIL too. He had brain surgery on Monday to cut a hole in a cyst that was pressing on a couple of nerves and causing dizziness, balance problems, and hearing loss. He's still in the hospital today and they are having a hard time controlling his nausea. I'm hoping he'll get to come home today or tomorrow and that things start getting better for him, as I think this recovery has been harder than he anticipated.
Plan for success this year in all aspects of your life!
