Back to Basics 2010-who's with us?

I didn't participate last year as I felt I wasn't far enough out from surgery to know how my life was going to go during the next year (little did I know how right I was).  But this year I am going to play.  I have some definite goals and some I am working on.  But here's what I have so far!

1. Water - Consume more and seriously decrease the other stuff I am drinking, like DDP.
2. Protein - Work on more protein in the mornings and for lunches, those meals seem to be my downfall.
3. Exercise - break out the Wii, which has been in the box since moving 9 months ago, and actually use the thing.
4. Work on hitting that goal of 135.  I'm bouncing around 145 and that is driving me NUTZ.

Here's my goals:

1. Exercise as many days a week as I can,  but never under 2-3.

2. Give up carbs...as m,uch as possible.

3. Take off 30 lbs...a lofty goal, but I've GOT to do it!

4.  Try to log food everyday on one of the websites...seeing it makes it way more real.

OK, I'm in. I need to start this year with some momentum because I allowed December to be a free month on intake.  I maintained my exercise, but still managed to gain 3 pounds. Here's my plan for 2010 success.

1. Spend a minimum of 5 minutes a day on me; meditate/saying a daily prayer including one gratitude.
2. Tell my husband that I love him every day.
3. Take all my vitamins, every single calcium pill and what ever else is on the daily regimen.
4. Track and Monitor my calories (goals will change depending on activity levels)
5. Monitor my caloric burn (goals will change depending on weight)
6. Run at least one 5K per month (or several in one month to avoid Aug-Sept heat)
7. Hit my target weight range of 147 - 155.  I need to lose about 30 pounds to do it and it might take me ALL year long. Ugh!

I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date.                                        Current as of November 1, 2009
OH Mini-Challenge Goal for New Year's Day is 170 pounds. 11 pounds to go!

Greetings and Happy New Year to all!  I am still fairly new and quickly approaching my 7-month post-op visit since I missed it last month due to Christmas hustle and bustle.  I believe in accountability and know that like so many others, if it is in writing that it is more likely going to be tended to so I would like to join the thread this year.

1.  Get it all in - vitamins, water and protein are essential, even if I think I cannot swallow one more thing.
2.  Exercise - be consistent even when I am dog tired and pretend it will be at the top of the list tomorrow.
3.  Set a better example by making healthy choices - my kids really watch what I do/eat and I don't want them to fall into the same trap I did so many years ago.
4.  Start living - I don't have the "I'm too big to do that" excuse so I plan to take some risks and enjoy life.
5.  Financial freedom - or at least somewhat freedom by paying off credit cards and putting more money away for the future.  (my downfall right now is the thrill I get when I can actually walk into any store and find clothes that fit!)

If I work to achieve my goals, I know I will meet my ultimate weight loss goals of weighing less than my husband.  I know that seems like an odd goal, but he is a stick figure!  (almost)

Grace and peace as we make ourselves one of our priorities in 2010!

Thanks girl! I KNOW i can always count on you!!!
Im definately in for the back to basics. Want to get off say 15-20lbs.. just be healthy this year.. in all aspects.  Want to make sure im getting the vits, protein, water and exercise in.

MUST find a job and soon. Not sure what im donig wrong there, if anything at all.

Am i looking in the wrong direction? Should i be following a different path and if so, what path should i be seeking?
Should I be looking at a totally different career? going back to school? If i knew what i was supposed to be doing, choosing the right path would be so much easier lol.
Thats kinda what im struggling with and where im at these days. ANY and all input is appreciated and welcomed!

Well . . . . . this is my first time posting to this thread. I've been reading/lurking for about 6 months now, and I'm so very impressed with all the support on the TMB. I'm going to:
1. Get all my protein every day
2. Take all my vitamins and supplements (been doing well on that one)
3. Drink all my liquid every day (doing better now that I've discovered Ocean Spray SF crangrape)
4. Get to goal by March 15, 2010
5. Exercise on my elliptical at least 3 times a week, preferrably every other day

I'm sure there are more, and I'll add them as we go along.

Thanks in advance for all the support this year .

I'm in!!

My goals for 2010:

Weight Loss Related:

1.  Stay below 140 pounds.
2.  Continue to exercise and become a personal trainer.

3.  Continue to take my vitamins so that my labwork remains good.

Other Very Important Goals:

1.  Work hard everyday to be a better mom to my kids.
2.  Financial Freedom~ I will spend less and pay off some debt.  With only 4 daycare payments left, I will get at least one credit card paid off before the end of 2010.
3.  Get it through my stinkin' head that I don't need a man in my life to be content!!  Ugh!!
