Debbi, I'm hoping for plan #2 for you as well!!  I need to ammend mine to include some financial planning as well.  Clay and I were talking about living on "cash" instead of using debit cards for a month.  Might need to do some more research into it and see what kind of budget I can set up. (it has to include the cruise- that's a MUST for us).

Debi-I hope you get to go to plan 2 also.
Stephanie are you going to do the Dave Ramsey
plan with the envelopes. Our daughter follows it
and they highly recommend it.
I haven't decided what my next set of goals will be
but Debi's Plan 1 looks good to me. Already lived the Plan2-4times.

Anita, I was just online looking at Dave's stuff.  It certainly sounds like a good system.  I know Debbi attended the classes and really liked what he had to say.  The envelope system is what I use when I go to Vegas...one for Tuesday's gambling money, one for Tues's food, one for Tues' entertainment.  That way you don't gamble the food money.  It works great so I bet it would work for a monthly budget as well.

It works great for them. My daughter thinks it is the best. When
her friends talk about money problems, she always tells them
they should try Dave Ramsey. I know people that can't have
money in their pocket or they spend it. I guess you would
learn fast-if you really stick to it and don't borrow
from the next month.

I am in......I have gotten WAY off track...........


1.  Get down to 150 (but would really love to be 140)
2.  Drink More water
3.  Take my vitamins
4.  Plan my meals & snacks
5.  Get in my protein
6.  Start an exercise routine (and get the boys into it as well)

I have more but will add later once I figure them out.....lol

I'll join in this year. I know Goal is the usual wording here but I much prefer Promises. I'll keep promises better than I meet goals.

Dee's 2010 promises....

1. Start an exercise plan and stick to it.....but it just downright hurts!
2. Plan more meals and do more 'real' cooking.
3. Continue to log my intake
4. Continue to stay on plan and resist temptations.
**** my mini goal of 185lb by June
6. Get to my goal of 150 by Sept. 15....1 yr.

thank you guys for the encouragement BTB thread brings all of us.  I hope to post more, as I lurk/read daily..

my goals
  1.  plan meals-  to guarantee that I get in my protein...
  2.  log in fitday - at least 4 days a week
  3. remember my calcium (as I do well with my multivitamins and iron)
  4. water, water... must get in more water
  5. develop an exercise routine and be consistant
  6. strive to encourage at least one person a day
  7. develop more consistency in my quiet time/prayer and bible study
  8. plan time with family...  don't take time for granted
  9. to lose 20 lbs by 5/19/10
10. to journal my thoughts, highs and lows

I'm fairly new to the boards.....okay, VERY new.  Most people know my mom, Phyllis Mayer; I am her daughter, Amanda.
     This sounds like fun, a challenge, and over all, a good way to start out the new year.
As for my goals, I have a rough idea of goals I would like to pursue this new year:

     1) Start full time college, and finish my basics. (Do well in these classes)
     2) Decide on a career and choose a career path to pursue.
     3) Research and choose a surgery for weight loss.
     4) Begin the process for WLS approval.
     5) Exercise at least 3 days a week; and make smarter choices in food and portion control.

Good Morning Steph,

I did not take part in this last year but want to this year.  I am thinking that by putting it in wrighting and being accountable to all of you I might be able to at least keep some of them so here goes.

1.  To start the 5 day pouch test on the 4th of Januar

2.  To loose about 10 pounds but the middle of Febraruy

3.  To excercise three days a week

4.  To find a church to call home!

4.  Continue to let Dan know how much I love him.

Those are my thoughts for now.  I am sure there are more but this is a start.
