In looking over my journal for this year and the journey it represents, I noticed a few interesting things and wanted share plus ask - How did you do???

Keep in mind I'm now fully 2 1/2 years out from surgery date and coming into 2009 was not anywhere I wanted to stay!!!

January 2009 - I weighed in at 172.5, TODAY = 152

LOSS in 2009 = 20 Lbs!!!!

Clothing Sizes in 2009:  Kicked off the year wearing XL/L Tops and Size 18 bottoms

TODAY:  S-M tops, Size 12 pants & still shrinking

Total % of Body Lost since surgery date = 47.6%

For 2010 - Just want to keep trucking along, pretty much holding steady with weight since end of August and would like to still lose 10 lbs.  However, I consider this a success and would be thrilled to just maintain from here out.

Good luck all in your journey into 2010!

Congrats Lisa!

2009 was more challenging for me than I expected, I knew it was coming but wasn't as prepared as I thought I was.......it does get harder the further out you become.

At the beginning of 2009 I weighed around 127 (I don't keep track anymore), got my butt up to 144.9 and FREAKED OUT, it happened VERY quickly.  Today I'm back down to 133.6 which is OK but not where I want to be so I'm looking toward a challenge at the beginning of 2010.  I really want to be below 130 lbs. by my 5 year anniversary which is quickly upon me.

I sent the sweets to work with hubby yesterday.  I need to shop for good ole protein foods and snacks this weekend.  I also need to start with protein shakes again, I know I need them but get lazy.

So to ALL of US......let's get back to business and make 2010 the BEST yet!

I hear that alot from folks 3+ years out... Has me worried, but I can't seem to get my body below the 150 mark... Makes me think I'm not meant to drop lower, or it's going to take some serious PS to get it down more...  Either way, I'm okay with where I am and will be satisfied if I can tone and maintain.

2009 was the year of my transformation!!!!  This time last year I weighed 226lbs... now 156lbs and I went from a size 22 to a size 8 this year!!!! My BMI is now in the healthy range and I also had 2 rounds of plastic surgery.

2009 was also a very stressful year as my stepfather died in Feb. and my mother moved in with us... Need I say more... I love my mom but.... it has been very hard!!!!!!

My hope for 2010 and my word for this year is Integrity... I want to feel complete and be true to who I am.  I am now entering the hardest part of this journey... maintenance!!  I could always lose weight but have never been able to keep it off!!!!

Here's to 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I posted yesterday I started 2009 at 162 and reached goal of 153 which I maintained until this month.  I've gained 3.5 lbs over the holidays which I plan to get back off starting Monday.  I am also 2 1/2 years out and find it gets harder.  I'm a very fussy eater and hate eating the same things over and over.  I get burned out real easy on pure protein but I know that's what I have to do.  So bring on 2010 as MAINTANENCE is the order of the day.  My body seems happy in a size 8-10 and I feel good there too.

I started 2009 at 182 lbs and was 6 months out from surgery.  I lost 37 pounds this past year and made my goal weight so it was a good year for me.  Now comes the hard part - KEEPING IT OFF.  For the first time in my life everything in my closet is basically the same size and FITS and I don't have to worry about my jeans being too tight these days.  I never want to go back to the days of aching feet and knees, hating the way I looked and hiding in baggy clothes.

My tool still works and I want to be very protective of this wonderful gift and not stretch it out.  My goal for 2010 is to be at this same weight next year on Jan 1, 2011!

I had my RNY in September 2008.  January 2009 I weighed 231.  I now weigh 136, so I lost 95 pounds in 2009.  Wow.  What a great year.  I am living my life again and it is a fabulous one.  My goal this year is to stay under 140.  I also want to become a personal trainer in 2010.

I just know this is going to be a great year!!
