Good evening all.  Here it is, my last working hours of 2009.  I closed the part time job for tomorrow and go in at the full time at 2:15AM, 1/1/2010.

Gonna celebrate the new year in at home with Mary and a friend or two.  Probably play some Wii games.

Not much else here.

If you have any prayer requests, please PM me with the info, or post it on the NW thread.  I only ask that you keep me updated so I can keep the list current.  I don't think that is asking too much.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

For those of you who pray, please pray for a girl who I work with. She had her DS on November 3rd , she has had an infection  in some scar tissue. She has had 2 surgeries for the infection. She then had a sroke, and is currently in surgery for a blockage in her heart. She is barely hanging on. This is very hard for me, because she wanted to have the same surgery as me.  I know it's not my fault, but I somehow feel this sense of why her and not me?

I'm not trying to scare anyone, this is very rare. I've never heard of anyone having so many issues all at one time. Pray for her.

Hi George - hope you had a good day. Yes, i am here and encouraged to do so by a girl in my office who is preparing for RNY. She's on here somewhere but maybe lurking and i'll let her "come out" when she's ready. I hope her surgery encourages me to get back involved!

Whatever it takes to bring you back is alright with me.    I saw you asked about events.  I got a group up to go to the Stars game on Feb 2nd.  Not much of a group really, more people from another discussion board (Dallas Digest).  We got the $120 tickets for $30.

At least you aren't going alone George... :)No changes here, hubby still out of work, friend still ill with no updates on that till mid-January.  Lots of thoughts of Meggie and whatever she's going through.Up a few pounds cause I baked too many of Linda's recipes (eatingwelllivingthin.com), of course there were a few other things added in that but I am back on track and fighting to get rid of a few extra cells.Best wishes to all for a better New Year!Kat

Hey there George....
Yeah, I know, late...but better late than never!  Doing some last minute rush clean-up before my parents get here around noon.  Surprise for Sarah since it's her birthday and no one ever comes here on her birthday since it's the 31st.  My parents were planning on coming here a few days before my surgery so that put it over the weekend.  After they started figuring that everyone else would be on the road traveling back home, they decided to come early.  They actually dodged a snowstorm, too, so now they will be down here away from all that mess.  The 31st is also their anniversary and then January 1st is my dad's birthday.  BAM!  Everything all clustered up together.  I wrapped all of Sarah's birthday presents so that is done.  When she gets up in the morning, she will at least see them.  Heather has her second to last behind the wheel driving lesson tomorrow.  She's doing better but has a LONG way to go.  Paul even said tonight that he has a feeling that Viktoria will probably end up getting her license before Heather.  Heather just lacks a lot of multi-tasking coordination and until we feel she can handle that, there is NO WAY we will allow her to get a driver's license.  That's not fair to everyone else out there who DOES know how to drive!  It's also part of my job as a parent to keep her safe and right now, I would not say it would be safe for her to be behind the wheel.  They were on the freeway yesterday and evidentally the instructor had to grab her wheel as she was way too close to the center line.  I really don't understand why she cannot grasp the idea that you keep the car in the MIDDLE of the lane and not hug either line.  SHEEEESH!!!  Inasmuch as I complain that a lot of kids these days think driving is like a video game, well, wish she would have played a few of those growing up because I really think it DOES help with reaction time, coordination, etc.  Viktoria plays those games all the time and is very coordinated.  Viktoria also does MUCH better with things like go-carts, etc. where Heather isn't.  UGH....what a LONG raod ahead!!!

Ok, gotta get a few winks of sleep.  Hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!  Please make it a SAFE one and talking like a mom...if someone has had too much, call a cab or take someone's keys away - just don't let them drive!!!

Good evening Sis.

Feeling kind of blah right now.  Car problems on my way to this job.  Flashing check engine light.  Hesitation.  Gonna have to get it fixed and don't have the funds to do so.

Personally, I drive with my left eye.  Meaning I do not ride in the middle of the lane, I am always towards the left side of whatever lane I am in.  I figure I can see that one better, it's right in front of me.

Happy Birthday to Sarah.  And your Dad.  And Happy Anniversary to the folks.

Hope you have a good visit, but I know they are here to help you too.  Are you feeling better?

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Car problems suck!!!  They never hit at a good time, that's for sure.  One minor thing ends up being two or three major things and before you know it, you are staring at a $1000+ bill.  UGH.  Been there/done that.  Here's hoping it isn't horribly bad and it can be fixed without costing too much.

Well, I would venture to say you don't totally HUG the left lane - like, on TOP of it like she was doing.

Had to take Viktoria back in for a recheck on her ears.  One ear tube is still completely blocked.  He changed the ear drop so we'll see if that helps.  She is also on antibiotics so needs to finish those.  He wants to see her again on Tuesday.  My doc gave me all my stuff but I still cannot get my right ear to pop open which is driving me CRAZY!  The left side will pop open but not that right one.  SOOOO frustrating!  Just a muffled sound in there.  Grrr...  I just keep taking all the meds without missing anything.

Mom and dad are going to stop by Sam's to pick up Sarah's birthday cake and then bring it to her.  She'll love it!  Dad is not a cake person so he's always had the same birthday "cake" every year...a pecan pie.  Of course that would be DEADLY for us to eat unless it was made with the sugar free syrup but my dad is old school....nothing "diet", "sugar free" or "fat free" passes his lips!  It's the real deal for him.  I got him a good pecan pie from Goode Company.  He'll love it!!!  We stick candles in there, too!

Ok, better get some sleep.  Hope the car doesn't give you any troubles on the way home.  Be safe out there!!!
