What's your word... 2010??

Last year I posted about picking a word that describes your goals for the year.  I have done this for the past few years... my first word was breathe- taking time for me (this was the year I decided on WLS) then last year my word was extraordinary- I saw a quote here on TMB that really hit home to me and I can truly say that 2009 has been an extraordinary year for me.... I am at goal and at peace with myself.

This year my word is going to be integrity- I want to be true to myself, family and friends...

Integrity as a concept has to do with perceived consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcome; the state of being whole or complete..

Last year I had a necklace with the word extraordinary on it that I wore everyday... this year I have a pinkie ring with the word integrity on it.  It is just a daily reminder to me on how I want to live my life!!  I hope you will join me and share your word!!!  Here is a list of possible words... warning it is long....

Great idea Paige!

I think my word this year will need to be

Self-confident

Apparently I am my own worst enemy and I need to be accepting of myself; I need to know that I am worth it and I deserve to say 'me first' when I need it.  When I do my best, I need to be confident that it is good enough!

I love your word becky! And i totally agree, its perfect for you.  you are your own worst enemy, im proud of you for recognizing that! (now if i could only follow my own advice lol)

When I was born, I cried and the world rejoiced. Now i wanna live my  life so that when I die, the world cries and I rejoice

Great idea Paige!  My word will be Self-Discipline.  Maybe if I use more of this, I could finally get closer to my real weight goal, pay off bills, etc.  Self-discipline with eating, exercise and restraint!

Good going Paige!!

I have to be greedy and have (2) words!

First word would be STRIVE.

STRIVE: to make each day a healing day for me, strive to make the most of life.  Strive to lose my remaining weight.

Secondly, THANKFUL
for the divine blessings and tests given to me in all areas of my life.  Ever so thankful for my surgery for giving me the opportunity to be around for my grandkids.

Blessings,

Nina

Don't say anything unkind, untrue, or unnecessary.

Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith ...
it is the price of love.

Accountability is still the one that jumps out at me.  If I am not accountable, I will fail and failure is not an option whether it be in life, love or weight loss.

Believe IS my word forever.  It's tattoo'd on my leg.  It is the only way I've gotten to where I am by ---- believing!

I'm picking two also, they sorta compliment each other.

Balance and consistency - I need to learn to find a balance between work, family and my needs and once I find that balance I need to be consistent in dealing with the day-to-day managing of my whole being and my families (work and home) needs.

I'm also picking two words - "SELF" and "LOVE" - I am going to strive to take better care of myself this year - I think I can learn to love me by doing better things for me and my health.
