Ok So what the heck is my problem???? I'm about 6 months out and stayed at the same weight for the past 3 months... is it cause I dont get off my lazy butt and go to the gym or could it be that I blame it all on stress.. So what if I'm going thru a divorce, lost my house, starting internship for teaching and NOT getting paid for it, oh and in debt for the surgery that I paid 12k to lose 50lbs for... just kidding just kidding!

I'm just bitter right now! I know its me.. I need to get off my butt and get with the program.. I think I already ruined my surgery by being able to eat EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING that I want and maybe about half the portiions size that I could eat before.. this whole divorce thing brings out the binge eating and stress eating again which sucks!!!! HELP ME!!!! I need a big kick in the butt!!!

I had the Sleeve done in June of 09 and was at 310 when I started and I'm down to 250... BLAHHHHHH I need to be at 180 by June 2010

Do you attend support groups?  I'm not sure where you are, but hopefully you can find one if you do not already go to one.  You know what you need to do, now just do it!!  Journal your food, watch your portion sizes, drink your water, get in your protein, and EXERCISE!!!  Find something you like to do and do it.  There's just no getting around it.  I love the elliptical machine.  Make a good workout playlist on your i-pod and get your body moving.  That will help your stress level, too.  Good luck to you!!  You CAN do this!!

There are a group of us that will be REALLY getting serious come January about re-focusing and would love it if you'd join us.  We have been posting a thread for nearly a year about what we eat everyday.  We've pretty much "taken off" the month of December but starting after the FIRST we're gonna to go "back to basics".  Please consider posting with us everyday.  The accountability is essential to success.  Our current thread is "decimate December", not sure what the january one will be titled.

My close friend is in the same boat with the vsg. She is horribly upset that she has lost 47lbs and thats it. Her dr. just put her on a caloric restriction diet to see if that helps any. He also suggested a ds revision if she was so super unhappy (not that anyone can pay for another $12K surgery).

I don't know your beginning stats, but I've had great success with my VSG.  What was your beginning weight or BMI?

Can you give me an idea of your daily meals and snacks?  Exercise?

Almost 18 months out and I can still drop a few pounds here and there.  I've leveled out and am bouncing between 146-148 with my "happy zone" being 144-149.

I started off at 307lbs with my BMI at 42 and I'm down to 249
I can eat anything and everything... and the amount is almost back to what I could eat before! Thats scarey!
Honestly I haven't gotten off my butt in about 2 months to go to the gym.. I use the divorce and school and my two kids as an excuse but that's all it is, an excuse!

I eat maybe twice a day but can eat a regular size meal and I'm never home for more than 2 hours a day unless I'm sleeping.. I work two full time jobs now, go to A&M full time and will start internship in January as well as hold the two jobs and go to school so I'm always ging to be on the go and thats scares me with my eating habbits.. on top of that, I am a stress eater and a binge eater and with the divorce I have found myself relying on my comfort foods.. AKA.. Chocolate!!!!

If you can eat what you could pre-surgery, then something is amiss with your sleeve.  I am also six months out and I can eat about 4 chicken nuggets at one sitting.

Who is your surgeon and how large is your sleeve?

At 18 months out - I'm doing good to get down 8 Chik Fil A nuggets - nothing else with them, just the nuggets.  There is no way I could eat a regular size "meal".   Are you eating on the meal until it's gone at one sitting or grazing on it until it's gone over the period of an hour or more?

I'd be calling my surgeon to get checked out.

Sweetie, you definitely have some stressors in your life right now.  I'm sorry :(.

Ok, it's time to refocus and plan!  Are you tracking your daily intake, making protein your top priority, taking your vitamins and moving (anything is better than nothing).  How is your water intake?

Take a deep breathe and join in the daily thread that Steph referred to.  At this stage of the game, it is VERY important to have a support group available to you and WE ARE here for you.  Any in-person support groups locally to you?  What about a friend to exercise with?

Hang in there and do your best, believe that it's possible for you to accomplish your goals because IT IS, your tool is there to give you the boost to MAKE....IT.....HAPPEN.
