Topsy Turvey Tuesday

Good morning! We're still in topsy turvey mode from our trip and the Christmas decorations still need to be put away as well. Food wise-still a bit off but getting better. One nice thing about being gone for the holidays- no leftovers to tempt me!

What's on your agenda today? Don't go topsy turvey in the ice now! Are you back on track with exercise and eating- or did you stay on track this last week??

I woke at 3am wide awake-go figure! I laid there for 25 minutes trying to go back to sleep but no luck, so I'm up playing on facebook.
I went back to the foot doc yesterday. He is starting to get concerned because I'm still in alot of pain. He is hopeful though because where my foot is hurting he said there isn't really anything that can go wrong there, so he gave me a cortisone shot and said that would probably fix it. I hope so. Right now my foot hurts like anything where he gave me the shot. Its normal I know for cortisone to not kick in for another day. I've had enough shots in my feet over my lifetime to know that!!

Gaye- haven't seen you post in a while- how are you doing?

Gina-how is Richard? Is he following up with his doc to see what is causing the blood loss?

Danni- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! What are you doing today? When do you come home?

Liz-how's the tooth?? Did you see the dentist? I go tomorrow for a cleaning at a new dentist just around the corner from our house. I am glad the Red Cross toothdrops helped some-I warned you about the taste!

Jenny- prayers continue for Eric's healing in 2010. I hope the oncologist visit goes well today.

Vivian- are you feeling better now? I hope so.

BIG PRAYERS going out to Meggie- I sure hope its nothing too serious that is causing the pain.

Kathy and Jodi- did you have fun yesterday?

Good morning, family! If it HAS to snow/ice I wi**** would do it NOW, instead of waiting till I'm 30 miles and 10 over passes/bridges from home...sigh...whine...gripe...This would be such a perfect day to stay home and get all the Christmas stuff packed away...no harm in dreaming...

ALISSA-thanks for asking about Richard. He has an appt next week to "discuss" all his work up stuff. He seems to feel prety good-just tires more easily than he used to. Sorry about the continued problems with your foot. I'm a big believer in cortisone shots. Btw, I spoke with GAYE a couple of days ago. She sounded great.

Work is kinda crappy. Census is down, so the "big wigs" are wigging. If they'd been in the business as long as I have they'd realize December is always a hard month. Old people get sick and die...fact of life/death...and people try not to place their loved ones in a nursing home at Christmas time. I just try to do my job, stay out of the way..and hide alot....lol...I'm getting pretty good at it.

Shower is calling me...then gotta find some warm clothes, since this blizzrd refuses to come early...CRAP...

Is Richard taking any iron to see if that helps with the tiredness? I would think it would be slow at the home in Dec because of the reasons you stated. If my sister Jess wasn't on leave for her mental health I am sure the hospice business is hopping this time of year. Noone wants to die in a hospital but esp at this time.

WOOOHOOO for Tuesday... especially a short work week one!  LOL  I'm up and at 'em and going strong as usual this morning.... back in the gym for the first time in more than a week and I can tell.... the recumbent bike had my thighs begging for mercy this morning, LOL

Good Morning Alissa and the rest of my TMB Family,

Glad you are home safe Alissa.  It always takes a few days to get back into the routine after a long vacation.  I had a very immotional day yesterday and cried a lot of the day away!  I think it is a combination of a lot of things.  Yesterday I got a phone call from Jon's Mom saying she was coming on Wednesday morning to get him.  She claims it is because she misses him and she feels that him being gone so long could do emmotional damage to him as he grows up.  She worries because he has no voice to say weather or not he is happy....anyway my believe is that she is not comfortable with him being here because she does not have faith that we can take care of him just fine.  It hurts me to the core.  I mean we moved here to be closer to him and to Tim of course.  Maybe I am jus being silly but it still bothers me that she will not allow him to stay the whole week with us.  Poor Tim is upset about the whole thing too.  He says he will bring him to see us on the weekends he has him.  Anyway I cried myself to sleep last night.  I am also really missing my Texas family.  All of you and of course my church family and I have no interest in going out here and making new friends.  Before anyone asks...yes I take medication for depression because it can get really bad sometimes.  Guess I am in one of those spots right now.  Boy I sure dont like complaining to all of you...but you know me and you understand me.  Ok guess I better go before the water works start up again.  Prayers this morning for all those in need, especially Jenny and Eric and if you are traveling be safe.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys.

I can assure you that you aren't the only one that feels they way you do, and especially this time of year.  I absolutely HATE this week more than any other. New Years eve and all that it brings just sucks for me. My mind just goes through all of those things you have said.  I am still in the same place for 15 years, but there are no friends here.  I told my Mom, I got lots of Christmas cards this year and only one came from some that 'doesn't live in my computer!' That's pretty sad.

Hang in there girl.  I know it's a tough time but I think with the support of our peeps and lots of prayer, we will work through it.

I sometimes wonder if it is all in my head so it is good to know that others feel the same way I do.  I am so used to this time of year being involved with the church and doing all the good things that come along with it but none this year.  Just makes me sad....but like I said I really dont have any interest in going out and making new friends.  Just praying like crazy and I know God has me here for a reason!  Thanks for letting me know I am not alone!  I will be sending you lots of prayers.

I over slept so I'm going to make this short!  Not much different from day to day here.  Just trying to make it through the day safely and without any confrontations.  And hopefully keep my job.  Don't know what they're going to do now.  They'll probably start walking the Injured on Duty people out again now that December is over with.  I'll keep you posted.

Yesterday was very productive at work, even though my mind had a hard time staying on course.  I was the only one there in my Dept. so no interruptions.

All of you in the DFW and North Texas area be careful on the roads.  I don't know about y'all but I'm sick on winter already.  It's freakin cold, even if we don't have snow and ice.  They say we have a 60% chance of rain today and 90% tomorrow......stop it already.

Prayers going up to all needing them.  If anyone hears from Meggie today and you have my number please text me.  Meggie you are loved sweetie, I hope they find out what keeps causing you trouble and fix it for the last time.
