The NIGH****CHMAN - Tuesday 12/29
No posts on the NW last night. Not really many views either. I hope the thread has not run it's course. I think it is important to have a central place for the prayer requests. But that is not the only purpose of this thread. Stop by and say good night. If you want, let us know how your day went. If you just want us to say a quick prayer for you that night, just say "Hey, add me in your prayers tonight. I had a bad day and did not follow the rules." I don't have to put that on the list to get updates, but it would be there for people to say a prayer for you.
I hope everyone is okay. Whether you post or not, it is important for me to keep up the prayer list.
If you are on the prayer list, please give me an update on your request.
If you have any prayer requests, please PM me with the info, or post it on the NW thread. I only ask that you keep me updated so I can keep the list current. I don't think that is asking too much.
Not much else going on. How about with you?
Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hi George,
I think with the holidays and people traveling, not many people are viewing the board. I haven't been able to check in but once in a while.
We just got home today and I have to take my dog to the vet. Not sure what is going on with him, but he is bleeding sometimes from his nose. Not much but maybe a few drops or so. So the Kennal was concerned so will schedule an appointment for tomorrow.
So nice to be back home. Did enjoy our vacation.
Here is what we did...
We went to Carlsbad Caverns and enjoyed the walk down into the cave.
We then went to Carlsbad to eat lunch and found a hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant. The salsa was so hot, my husband was sweating and having a hard time eating it. (he loves anything hot)
We continued on down the road take HWY 70/380. I told my husband to continue on this road and I would take a nap. I woke up in a small cute town named Ruidoso, NM. (ski resort) Realized he didn't vear off onto hwy 380. His excuse "you should have said to take 380 not just keep calling it 70/380. We stayed there for the night in hopes of walking the local shops but we had forgot our coats back home so we had to go buy a new one. By the time we got back, stores were shut down for the night and didn't open up until later then we wanted to stay. As we took off the next day and started to drive down the road, we came across Carrizozo Malpais. This is a great site to see. This looks like a volcano erupted at some point and had just flowed. This lasted about 5 miles then went back to the normal flat lands. Pretty cool and very neat so we wandered if it was a volcano and sure enough it was. We continued on up to Colorado Springs, wanting to beat the blizzard that was coming and be able to get up to Pikes Peak before it came in. We went to Pikes Peak the next day and went up to the top. I was proud of myself. I drove the whole way up. When I was younger, my dad would drive us and the whole time, my mom would be yelling at my dad saying he was driving to close to the edge and have me scared me to me death. So this was a challenege and I am proud to say, I overcomed the fear that my mom had instilled in me about going over the edge. After going to Pikes Peak, we went to Cripple Creek to gamble. My parents go there alot so we wanted to know what all the horrah was over it. Now that place is pretty neat. We went and played poker which was pretty good until some locals couldn't stand that fact that I was winning hands and started getting smartmouthed . I just talked crap right back at them and they finally left the table. The next day we came back and stayed the night and played poker in that casino. They were so friendly and about 6 of them were from San Antonio area who were up there for vacation too. I would love to meet them back up there. They were very friendly and lovely people. One of the locals was very nice too and made us feel at home and then of course another local was cranky.
Of course after we left Cripple Creek we heading to Kansas and then back to Texas.
Have a great evening and please keep this going. I do enjoy reading it.

I am getting the colposcopy next week (for the abnormal pap), this is supposed to hurt...and it's scheduled for the day after I have my tonsils out. So I'm not going to be a happy camper. I'm also having a sono to check on my cyst, and an endoscopy Monday to check for an ulcer or other issues.
My iron infusions seem to be going well, number four is tomorrow. My fifth one is next week, and then we will rerun labs to see if I need more infusions.
If I can make it through next week, I will be fine!

It's been a week since my last ER visit and the whooping cough diagnosis. I've been taking all of the antibiotics and cough suppressants religiously and seem to be getting some relief. I'm still sleeping a lot, but my body must need the rest to heal.
My mom and step-dad arrived last Thursday afternoon and left this morning. It was a good visit with them. Much more relaxed that I expected, but I think they cut me some slack since I am on a lot of scripts right now.
My office closed early due to the snow which was nice. I'm looking forward to another 3 day weekend. Otherwise, work is going very well, so that's good.
Prayers for all who need them.
253 / 140 (below goal)
If I were lying, wouldn't my pants be on fire?!?
Jennifer - so sorry that you've been sick...........DO get plenty of rest and fluids.....hopefully it will run its course and be over soon....................
