Ahhhh, weeks like the last one remind me of how much I dislike apartment living.  Oh well!  Such is life and you learn to deal with it!

Had a great visit with Sis and BIL, but am not too sorry to see them go home this morning.  6 days is long enough!  It messes with my eating, cuz we're running the streets too much and are never home.  Between that, the holidays and the idiots upstairs my stress levels aren't down where they should be, they are WAY up!!
NervousI just need a little normalcy (what's THAT??) back in my life.  Kept the weight to a dull roar...it helps to be able to have some control, even it I didn't have it completely, I figure some is better than none, huh??? Well need to go find lunch and pack some protein bars for the office.

IT'S COLD OUT THERE
, so bundle upBundled, y'all!!!!!!!

Hugs, Mari

Good morning TMB!

Home from AZ as of last evening.  It was a super trip.  2 years was too long to wait for a visit.  It was very hard to say goodbye.

I took my laptop with me but tended to ignore it for most of the week.  I'll have to go back and read everyones older posts.

I did VERY well on my eating.  I weighed myself the morning we left and didnt' step on the scale until this morning.  I'm down 5 pounds.  KICKIN!  With the excellent nosh my Mother in Law makes (plus the cakes, candies and cookies I helped make) I should get a self control medal for losing over the week.

I'm very glad this is a short week.  It will be great to spend some time at home with the kids.  Looking forward to the new year and my new self!

Cheers all!

Good morning.  I still have 8 days until I'm back to reality.  It's sure nice to have such a long Christmas break.  I have to run some dip/chips to the girls basketball tournament around 9:00 and then will head to Lufkin to return the necklace Ross gave me for Christmas.  Hopefully the $ will pay for the electrician to fix my plug that hasn't worked in 9 months.  Ross and Ben have tried 3 times and can't find the problem.

I'll hit Sam's while there and then head home.  We're supposed to be at some friends for the Independence Bowl game at 3:45.

Go Aggies!

Prayers for all who need them.  Have a great Monday!

Karla,

You sound like me with taking back something for  you to get something for the family/house.  I did that all the time and it's hard not to do it.   I need an electrician too so they can work on the ceiling fan switches.

I love getting back to normalacy this time of year - whatever that means.   I love to work - so I bury myself into it.........(((((Huggss))))))))))))

I didn't travel over the holidays as planned because of the snow/ ice in Oklahoma...........too bad - I could have really made some memories on Friday !!  lol...hehehehehe........

Scale was kind to me.........considering what I really deserved - but I didn't do badly on Christmas Day..........it was leading up to it and AFTER it...........I stayed in Bed all day on Friday - hiding I guess..............enough with that.........all is good now.........

THE SUN IS OUT AND LETS ENJOY IT -  WE MAY HAVE MORE SNOW TOMORROW !! 80% I HEAR with a possibility of 1-2 inches.................

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE !! ((((((((hUGGS))))))))))

  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Ok so I should not have made the candy! I should not have brought home that food from Mom's; even tho the cake was sweetened with Slenda and SF Jello Pudding, it was still way too many carbs and I have been paying! I read a very thought provoking article that Yvonne(you know Bariactric girl)wrote and boy did it get me to thinking about allowing sweets in my life! Being such a diabetic in the past, I think that I am going to have to make the decision to look at them as pure poison and never ever let myself have a bite! I AM A SUGAR ADDICT and I really didn't realize that until  l started nibbeling on them I guess at Thanksgiving! This is my first Holidays since my surgery and I didn't plan to do it, but thats the fact, I didn't plan!~So, I am started with renewed resolve and gonna be more accountable with my eating and make a better plan. Back to reality is it! Hey they say confession is good for the soul! I need you guys! Thank you for being here for me!!!!!! I am glad to return the favor any time...love you guys!
