Electric Blanket = Good night's sleep
For those suffering from being cold this winter - I'm here to tell you.... Pay the money and get an electric blanket!!! It's totally worth it.
We went on a mission yesterday, ended at Target and found a great, plush dual control electric blanket along with flannel sheets. Everything went on the bed last night and it's the first time in week's (or is it months....) that I slept great!! No more shivering and I was actually warm when I went to bed for a change.
Looking forward to tonight when I can go in 15 minutes before bed, turn on the blanket and jump into a warm bed!!!
Hubby is thrilled too because we were able to take the 5 layers of blankets off the bed - no more heavy covers which were irritating him
If you're cold too - I reccomend a blanket AND they are on sale - good luck!

My RNY friend at work swears by the heated mattress pads, also - said you can get them at Penny's pretty reasonable and they have dual controls.
I can testify to the warmth of electric blankets. We have slept in our yurt with the air temp down to 35 degrees in there and been toasty warm under the covers of 2 electric blankets! The propane heater is so expensive to run we don't even bother since the blankets work so well.
Glad you got a good nights sleep !!!

Since my WLS last December, I have been cold all the time -- in summer a/c and definitely in winter.
About a month ago I discovered all-fleece pajamas. I had always assumed that flannel pj's would be the warmest I'd ever need. Wrong. Fleece is the way to go. You have to get reasonably close-fitting ones to keep yourself warm, not the oversize pj's one gets so used to wearing in the months after WLS.
Every night I wear size M fleece pajamas and super-thick socks to bed. No electric blanket necessary.
BTW, it really freaked me out to start buying size M clothes. Having been a large person all my life, it felt wrong to not be buying a size involving the letter "L." It made me feel like I was buying clothes for someone else. Buying M's is still too strange to even be a Wow Moment. It's just a Weird Moment.

I know exactly what you mean about buying M sized clothing... I'm still worried about spending money on something; afraid it won't fit me and I'll outgrow it again... For now, I've caved and have been buying much smaller clothes and sometimes even need a size S :) Feels good, but scary all at the same time.

My sister bought me a sweatshirt for christmas. Holding it up, I just knew it would be too small (you know, it always is) Later I went in the bathroom to try in on...and it fit great. I was all excited to fit into a M sweatshirt!! Then I looked at the tag and it was a S!
It is a sweatshirt, afterall...I don't fit in small tops just yet, but it still made my day for something I own to be an S.
