Is this normal?

I retrurned home Wed. afternoon after having RNY surgery Tues. morning.  Yesterday, I saw small traces of blood when I went to the restroom.  (not in my urine)  As time progressed the blood has changed in color bright, dark, light pink.  I did call my surgeon he told me that it was normal and I should not stress over it.  I was just wondering if anyone of you had experienced this.

My aunt had this for a week right after her RNY - it cleared up as the doctor predicted.

Like your doc said, it's fine.  If it turns bright red and is heavy like a period call him back cuz that indicated fresh NEW bleeding.

Its ok...give it time...Dark blood is old blood....it will soon pass. your body just got its plumming rerouted. a lot of this is from the sugery. It was a week or so for me.

Thank you guys, you made me feel so much better!!!!!  I just needed a little reconfirmation that it was ok.  I wish I weren't such a worrier!!
