Merry Christmas Eve everyone!! It's kinda my Christmas today since I'm scheduled to work tomorrow. I am cooking the "full meal deal" today...we changed the menu at the last minute cuz Hailey loves Turkey. So we're having a Thanksgiving repeat- turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, fruit salad, cooked carrots and apple pie. Tomorrow we'll have the prime rib IF I get off early enough to cook it. Otherwise it'll be turkey leftovers.
We're gonna open all of our presents tonight cuz Hailey and Jodie are supposed to head to Tulsa in the morning, weather permitting. One of Clay's presents still hasn't arrived so I guess I'll be printing a picture off the internet and wrapping it in a box. (It's my fault-I was too cheap to pay for express shipping).
We drove to Conroe yesterday and got my mother. Within 5 minutes of being in my house she tripped over a dog pillow (a huge papasan chair cushion) and fell flat on her face!! Thank God she wasn't hurt but I felt terrible for her. Anyway, so far it;'s been good having her here-we'll see how the weekend plays out, lol.
Praying I don't have to work the WHOLE day tomorrow. If it's not too busy another nurse and I are going to split the shift and I'll work the morning and be off at 1 pm. It's been so busy lately, I doubt that it'll happen but it sure would be nice.
Novel's ending now...have a super Christmas Eve surrounded by those you love.

We always go to Christmas Eve service at church. That's at 7:00...Ben used to open 1 present on CE, but said he didn't want to tonight. I remember the year he thought he was opening a movie and it was a book and he threw it and said "Where the Red Fern Grows"...I wanted a movie!
We usually open gifts Christmas morning and go to MIL at lunch and my sisters for dinner, but Ross' family are all in Corpus this year for Christmas. We will stay home, open gifts, eat brunch and go to my sister's for early dinner w/ her and mom.
Prayers for all who need them and safe travels.
Have a great Christmas Eve!

Well, 25 years ago today I was over at Methodist Hospital in labor with my first son. Best Christmas present ever! On Christmas Day the nurse came and got him to bathe him while I showered and when she brought him back he was stuffed in a Christmas stocking - so cute! I'll be taking him to dinner tonight.
Some time today I will cook the cornbread for dresign tomorrow and my 2 pies. Don't have much family left anymore and even less that is close enough to come over - just be me, Kyle and my brother David for dinner tomorrow. But I enjoy his company so it will be fun.
