Christmas Eve is usually finger foods and opening presents at home. Christmas Day is spent with my Mom and Dad and siblings and doing presents with them. This year is the same. A 30 mile drive to my parents house.  Your excitement is infectious, Alissa! Hope EO has a Merry Christmas Eve and Day! I loved your story Michelle about what your Dad did. That is just awesome! My parents who are very religious were too religious to let us believe in Santa even when we were very young! My 6 year old granddaughter told me the other day; Nana, we know that Santa is not real...they are so smart these days...I said well he is as real as you want him to be baby. Kids! Love to all! Hope EO gets exactly what they want for Christmas! Love and prayers~

Annette, I'm sad you and your siblings didn't experience the magic of Santa and that your 6 years old granddaughter isn't enjoying it either.  I'm VERY GRATEFUL my 8 and 10 year old still believe, they questioned last year one time but this year they haven't said peep and I'm going to enjoy this magic of excitement they have at least this one more year.

dana, where's my coffee??? lol. wow im up too early to be off work!!! Already fed and medicated dogs! lol.  Well since we have all grown up, my cousin and i got together years ago and decided we needed to get together at least once a year that wasnt a funeral, so he throws a christmas eve shindig at his house in spring every year. 
So I will be trudging thru this lovely wind and rain over to that this evening.  It will be fun im sure with the usual sniping about my weight, what im wearing blah blah blah i miss my chosen family lol.  Then tomorrow spending the day with my friend kim and her family as its looking like her dad wont be with us another christmas. 
Mom is off to Florida to be iwth the grandkids and I have already gotten 'the business' via phone twice from the special needs 14 year old as to WHY i wasnt coming too and she wished she was with me and it just about killed me.  Im hoping to see a nap in my immediate future here... but headed to houston later today.

I'm so sorry your niece is sad you can't be there with her.  Hope Nana can make her a happy little girl.

Girl you know i started to head right on over and im so not kidding!!! the niece thing is just breakin my heart this year.. i know Nana is doing her best bu im her 'favorite' so it not quite the same. I truely wish her mom and I could at least get past things for the kids sake, im willing but she just seems me as another obstacle in the grand scheme of $$.

Liz-you always make me laugh! You are just too funny~Thanks for the sympathy, Dana, being from La., I bet you are familiar with Pentecostals. My Dad was a Pentecostal pastor and well I could tell you some stories but I won't-not today anyway-lol! There were a lot of good times-don't get me wrong just not the magic of Santa...or TV or movies...I could go on but like I said I won't. Hope you don't have to work all day either Steph! I have already been to Wal-mart this morning~Man, it is a jingle out there~ love yall!

Hey Liz, I did meet you and were made me laugh so hard I almost wet myself~It was at the OH event in Dallas in your room. I was with Debbi T and Sara, sitting on the bed. And it smelled wonderful like Dana's gumbo in there. I met Mari, Dana, Karla, you and several others whom I can't remember thier names right now( please forgive me)  and a lady and her daughter came in and well it was just fun and next time I want to stay too so I can join in on all the craziness!. Anyways, thought that I would let you know that we did meet and yes, I thought that you were  !!!

girl im so sorry, after i posted that, i remembered you being there lol.  the lady and daughter were Jeri and her daughter Apryl from houston and beaumont! Took me a minute but i did remember you! So sorry!!!!!!
