Where Did My STAMINA Go?

My labs were good at my one-year and I am R-E-L-I-G-I-O-U-S-about taking my vitamins.  I never took any hormones for menopause and I am about 8 years post-menopause now.  If this was something new (or since my last labs) I would probably go get my labs done, but it isn't.

It really isn't a *big* problem - I am not having to drag myself through the day or anything like that.  I just thought it was strange that I could keep going like the energizer bunny when I was so overweight and can't now.  I also thought that when I quit losing and wasn't in a calorie-deficit mode that it would get better but it hasn't really changed.

So proud of you for taking the vitamins.  I know this is a silly question but have you told Garth?  We so often don't want to bother our docs but I think it would be a great idea to tell him and tell him you've heard it from others.  He may have an answer and if not, it gives him precious feedback that he can perhaps research,  I was much the same way until I went on the bio-identical hormones.  In short you are putting the hormones back in your body that you quit making after menopause instead of the synthetic crap that causes cancer.  My skin got softer, eyelashes grew back and the "pooch" right in my stomach area disappeared.  Here's that blog post from 2007.

I will check out the book you recommended - sounds interesting!

I really should email Garth and let him know what I am experiencing.  He reads and asnwers his emails and I don't feel like I am bothering him with something that is fairly minor.

Sarah, I know how you feel!   Lately, (which I blamed on being over 40) I get tired so easily... What I've come to learn is it's my low hemoglobin numbers, ie; borderline anemic... Fighting it, but it takes time to come back up.   Some days are just more tiring than others and like you, between long work hours, it's been hard to find enough time to work out.   Planning to change that but in the meantime, something I'm fighting.
