Wrapping Wooo Hooo Wednesday WLS Express

Good morning all! Been up for 2 hrs and am still unable to do all I want to get done before buzzing out the door..sigh...whine...shrug...I have WAY more to do HERE than I have to do at WORK, but work PAYS better, so work WINS the tug-o-war...

The work lunch thing yesterday was very nice-we went to Olenjack's at Lincoln Square in Arlington, and had a private room. I ate too much-but not enough to make myself sick, so all was well. It was nice to sit and "visit" with my co-workers about stuff not "work-related". We talked about our first concerts, first albums, etc. Some of those BABIES have never heard of Alice Cooper and have never SEEN a 45 or a turntable...INFANTS...I was the only one who had ever seen Elvis in person..Maybe I AM old...

Prayers all around, with special ones for ERIC R. ..Traveling prayers for our peeps on the road-please watch out for the idiots...

Oh-the question--yes--my wrapping is done--except for Richard's stuff that is hidden in Corbin's closet. Corbin will keep it hidden for me until I wrap it tonight. If I put it out too early Richard will shake everything until it breaks-he's worse than a ADHD toddler...

Hope everyone has a bunch of WOOHOOs today-even little ones count, you know-that ONE piece of candy you pass up is a WOOHOO !!

woo hoo I am off work today! Three gifts left to wrap House to straighten up and 3 gifts left to deliver!! I would like my pouch and guts to settle down for Christmas! Nothing likes me  right now except sf fudgesicles!! Typical!!

Wooohooo!!!  Two more days and I get to see my parents and most likely SNOW!!!  I grew up in Michigan and really miss having a real winter (no I don't miss shoveling the snow, I miss playing in it).  Yesterday was a complete bum day for me.  My plastic surgeon didn't have me on the schedule so  I didn't do a darn thing yesterday.

However today is a different story.  I'm meeting a friend for coffee this morning, then the errands begin.  Have to go pick up stuff to make the SF Sweet potatoes and snacks for the plane trip.  I'm going to head to Half Price Books to get a couple of new books for the plane, then I need to get an extra key for the house made for my MIL.  Then to Walmart (eeeeeeeek) to pick up Jeff's new acid meds and a couple of odds n ends.

Then I need to come home, clean, start laundry and figure out what I've forgotten.  Tonight we'll be going over to my in-laws to hang with Jeff's sister and baby.  I hear Santa is going to make an appearance for pictures.

Ok, off to finish packing Jeff's lunch and downing some coffee.  Prayers going up for all of our travelers, everyone who is struggling through the holidays and everyone else that won't mention when they need prayers.

Gooooooooooooooood Morning WLS Express...!!

Everyone here on the forums is busy busy busy...!!

All presents have been wrapped and unwrapped... lol   My parents went out of town on Friday for 2 weeks; so we all decided to get together on Thursday and do our christmas get together and gift exchange.  We all had fun opening up our gifts, especially the kids.

There is only one thing I'm still debating on.  Made reservations for my son and I to go Disney in June (one of the 1000 items on his letter to Santa) but am still debating if I should keep it a surprise for now or make it a "gift" from Santa.  What to do... oh what to do..!?!

someone bring me coffee please!!!! Dang i miss Loralea's house as yall know we always have coffee in the mornings and Mom doesnt do coffee, she's a Coke person (Coke zero these days lol)  been up for a bit of course, but did manage to get a few hours sleep. Taking mom's sick doggie back to the vet this morning. Most of yall have been following our progress on facebook, but her Chihuahua mix became very ill this weekend and we had to take her to the ER vet where she was eventually diag by our reg vet with immune mediated hemolytic anemia.  Basically her red blood cells are attacking each other. She got this from a mosquito bite!!!  she's on a buttload of meds but when i take her in this morning for her blood work, im also to bring in B & B as she may need a transfusion and my two are the donor dogs! Thank GOD i have plenty of dog blood around here!!! Also, we have a close family friend with two of the 90+lb labs on stand by should there be a reason my two arent a good match! the fun never ends here!!!

Got mom on a plane to Florida yesterday and i told her I didnt appreciate her leaving me AGAIN with a sick dog lol. Been working on my house here in between dosing the dog.. and im sure everything will get done.  You know my life can never be dull!!!

Merry Kiss-Mas OH Family!

I've been off for 5 days so can't complain. But don't know that I got much done, but lots of rest and me time. Gifts are not wrapped but they are at least laying on the bed in the guest room ready....does not count? I bought Summer and Kirk a washer yesterday for X-Mas with some of my winnings. They can't deliver until Tues so I'm going to wrap up a box of laundry detergent and watch them try and figure it out. Going to give Chad & Mandy $$ and a set of luggage. Chad will be traveling back and forth to Chicago for his new job training. Well gonna go hop in the shower run some errands and lay down and rest before I go into work tonight. I bet we are busy. After the holidays I'm going to have to get on a healthy eating plan. All that sounds good to me lately is chips and crackers. Instead of gaining weight I'm below goal. Prayers for those that are in need of healing both physically and emotionally.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve...

Up early even though it's my Vacation... Had my surgeon followup this morning.  Was honestly disappointed in the man that I really trusted with my life.  He had a massive motorcycle accident after my surgery and has kinda gone off the deep end.  He wants to move to New Zealand and be a surgeon there.  Whatever..

You know how hard I am on myself with my weight and he was always very reassuring that I have done great, look great, everythings great.  Well this time, he tells me to 'watch my weight and get those 10 pounds back off!!. even though 'I expect most of my patients to gain back about 20 after their lowest'.  Then he prescribes me Phentermine and tells me to come back in a month so he can see my progress.!!!  He is doing 'seminars' on his surgery in his waiting room, there are ads all over the rooms for 'lipo' style procedures in his office.

Needless to say I'm not going back.  I don't need that kind of stuff in my life.

Emma is doing okay with her surgery.  Mom said she was in a lot of pain last night, so she slept in the room with her and Madeline.  This morning, Dad said she was having less pain but sleeping a lot.  She is eating mashed potatoes and milk shakes.  Oy.    She is supposed to go down Houston way with her 'donor' for Christmas day, but we have to see how she feels.

Need to get packed  so that I can head to Shiner town after my Mammo.  Asking for prayers for good results.  I have been concerned with this for quite a few weeks after the doctor strongly urged me to get it and quickly.
