Trying hard to maintain (or at least stay within a couple of pounds this week.  It's my goal this week, so let's see how we do.  Not going to dwell on a pound or 2, as long as I stay in control.  That is the key to survival (IMO) during the next couple of weeks, Control!  So hang in there guys!  Do the best you can do and if you slip, get right back up on that horse and continue on your journey.

I'm beginning to think that I have none..........control that is!  Although I did eat protein bars for lunch and breakfast today, so better than the alternative.  Family is coming in tomorrow, so doing REALLY well is going to be very hard, but I am going to do the best that I can and leave it at that!  I will control to some degree, but it's easier when it's just me!  I am maintaining so that is a good thing!  Have a wonderful holiday, Faith!  and I'll check in with you guys on the 28th!  Then it's back to work...NY resolution is to get back on track and am even thinking of doing the 5DPT right after the 1st to kickstart it!

Merry Christmas Santa  Hugs, Mari

Girl!  You freak me out!  You are a total anomoly...just kidding!  You have WAY too much self-control!  I am trying to stay in control and you seem to accomplish this with little effort!

Speaking of GOOD JOB!!!  You're awesome!

How are the arms feeling??

Thanks, Mari!!  You are so funny!!

My arms are feeling good today.  I got my drains and bandages off today.  I LOVE my new arms!!  They'll look beyond fabulous once the swelling stops.  Dr. W. said they look even better than he expected, which made me laugh.  I'm off the heavy duty pain meds and have only been taking Tylenol today.  I'm hoping to wrap a few presents tomorrow, but will take it easy.

I bounced back up into the 146's briefly last week  and was relieved to see me back in the 145's this morning *whew*.  I will be cooking a big dinner again this week so C-O-N-T-R-O-L is the key - you are absolutely right.  I am thankful for my tool that helps me limit the damage.

That's what I am thankful for as well...my tool to help me limit damage!  Great way to put it!  I am not worrying about too much for the next couple of weeks.  Especially when I have friends who make wonderful creamy fudge (Unfortunately, I only dump on rare occasion, so I really have to watch it!)!!!

I have decided to just keep things to a dull roar and control the over- indulging, but I'm not going to beat myself up over a bite of fudge or a bite of a cookie here or there....Not gonna happen!

Merry Christmas, surgery sister!  Give Kyle a hug for me!
Hugs, Mari
